Restaurant description

Founded by Jamie Oliver, Barbecoa is all about elemental fire-based cooking in a modern context. Using the highest quality meat, carefully sourced from around the UK by Barbecoa's expert butchery team, the restaurant's talented chefs create delicious contemporary dishes using Texas pit smokers, tandoors, fire pits, robata grills and wood-fired ovens. As you sit at your table overlooking St Paul's Cathedral, you'll feel the heat, see the flames lick and the smoke drift upwards from the centrepiece open kitchen.

Dishes on the Barbecoa menu include juicy, dry-aged steaks – served up with an array of your favourite sauces and sides – or go big with a chateaubriand for two to share, with bone marrow and truffle butter. Alongside the steak, enjoy super-fresh fish dishes, seasonal salads and slow-cooked meats.

With the UK’s biggest selection of whiskies, beautifully crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list, you’ll find the perfect accompaniment to whatever dish you choose at Barbecoa, St Paul's. To top it all off, for dessert, tuck into our famous Snickersphere or a selection of delicious La Fromagerie cheeses.

Barbecoa restaurant St Paul’s is a 2-minute walk from St Paul’s Tube Station.

We were having a family get together over Sunday lunch . Started with a drink in the bar area . Huge choice . Roast Beef was ordered by us all . Lovely meat and never ending vegetables if required . High quality. All decided to go for never ending wine . Nice wine . Well worth it . Was a little disappointed with my crepe brûlée but the others were pleased with their choices . Our waiter Christina was excellent. Knowledgable , patient and amusing.

Superb setting, amazing food and top class service. I can't single out one course as they were all fabulous - between us we had oysters, calamari, garlic prawns (huge starter), beef fillet, lamp chops, salted caramel tart, Barbecoa brownie.

The location was amazing and you have a great view to St Pauls cathedral. The food to be honest was ok, but salt & pepper was missing. The service was great until we ordered the bill, we waited 25 minutes and asked 3 times for it. We love Jamie Oliver, but we would not go into Barbecoa again.
