Founded by Jamie Oliver, Barbecoa is all about elemental fire-based cooking in a modern context. Using the highest quality meat, carefully sourced from around the UK by Barbecoa's expert butchery team, the restaurant's talented chefs create delicious contemporary dishes using Texas pit smokers, tandoors, fire pits, robata grills and wood-fired ovens. As you sit at your table overlooking St Paul's Cathedral, you'll feel the heat, see the flames lick and the smoke drift upwards from the centerpiece open kitchen.
Dishes on the Barbecoa menu include a juicy fillet steak that’s aged on site, served up with bone marrow and smoked béarnaise, and chateaubriand for 2 with truffle butter. Alongside the steak, enjoy super-fresh fish dishes, seasonal salads and slow-cooked meats.
With the UK’s biggest selection of whisky, beautifully crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list, you’ll find the perfect accompaniment to whatever dish you choose at Barbecoa in London. For dessert, tuck into peanut butter cheesecake with black cherries, or the signature Barbecoa brownie with salted caramel.
Barbecoa restaurant in St Paul’s is a 2-minute walk from St Paul’s Tube Station.

starters on the set menu were good, the mains were terrible, rump steak and the ribs my friend and I had, steak was tough and ribs overly smokey, to point where couldnt taste anything else and only got 2 of them with not much meat on, also side portions that come with the mains are measly, so they are actively trying to get you to spend another £4 each on the sides, which I dont think is really cricket in a set menu. Dessert was average. Melon G&T's were highlight of the meal, which says all you need to know about the food. Oh yeh and we ordered bread with chicken skins, the bread comes with no skins, when asked where the skins are, we were told they have run out, then they decide to question us on why we dont want to pay for the £5 for a bread with skins with no skins, which I thought was odd. I begrudged paying the service for these reasons and was only my friend who insisted that i relented, however have to say the the main female server we had was great.

It could have ended in tears as the restaurant didn't have our reservation when we arrived. But, they were very responsive, handled the initial consternation professionally and, happily, found us a table. The deal (£30 plus cocktail) was an excellent one with generous portions unusual with these kinds of set menu. The team loved it and our boss loved that the bill for 12 was within budget

Loved it but really disliked the 12.5% automatically applied service charge. I like to chose the tip I give based on the service I receive - don't just assume and automatically apply!!!!

Good service. I had booked a deal and wanted to eat fish, I was told they did not have any left, this was disappointing. My meat was tender, the one of my partner not tender. The place is extremely loud. They added by authority 12%tip to the bill which was not expected ( they should mention in the deals "service is not included"): this made the cost-benefit rather on the (too) expensive side.
On balance I do not think I will go back.

The melon g&ts were great. The food was good, but not mind blowing or specifically memorable. The service was very good.

Didn't have a great experience. Pork Scratching were either incredibly hard or really chewy, the sourdough was tough. Ribs and calamari were great and my steak was beautiful. Restaurant had the blinds down which means you didn't get the view of St Paul's that make the whole experience worthwhile.
