Founded by Jamie Oliver, Barbecoa is all about elemental fire-based cooking in a modern context. Using the highest quality meat, carefully sourced from around the UK by Barbecoa's expert butchery team, the restaurant's talented chefs create delicious contemporary dishes using Texas pit smokers, tandoors, fire pits, robata grills and wood-fired ovens. As you sit at your table overlooking St Paul's Cathedral, you'll feel the heat, see the flames lick and the smoke drift upwards from the centerpiece open kitchen.
Dishes on the Barbecoa menu include a juicy fillet steak that’s aged on site, served up with bone marrow and smoked béarnaise, and chateaubriand for 2 with truffle butter. Alongside the steak, enjoy super-fresh fish dishes, seasonal salads and slow-cooked meats.
With the UK’s biggest selection of whisky, beautifully crafted cocktails and an impressive wine list, you’ll find the perfect accompaniment to whatever dish you choose at Barbecoa in London. For dessert, tuck into peanut butter cheesecake with black cherries, or the signature Barbecoa brownie with salted caramel.
Barbecoa restaurant in St Paul’s is a 2-minute walk from St Paul’s Tube Station.

From start to finish the service was impeccable. The waiters were very attentive and we didn’t have to ask for anything apart from our order- they were always one step ahead of us topping up our wine and water. Literally 1 minute after we ordered our nibbles they arrived at the table- just pork scratchings and olives so no cooking required, however that’s still ridiculously fast.
We ordered the chateubriand for two, which was out of this world amazing. Best I’ve had in London- beats Hawkesmoore which often comes up as one of the top places for steak. Again our waiter was able to advise on the wine choice with just the right amount of knowledge without being too forceful.
I have no complaints which is a first for me as I can be quite picky about details and can often be put off by things that may not be that big a deal to most.
Pick Barbecoa for sure over hawkesmoore. It was my boyfriends birthday and it was a perfect place to celebrate. All around us we could hear people complimenting he food so it wasn’t just us who thought so.
Price wise- it’s in the upper limit. £84 for the chateubriand for two which came with bone marrow and truffle butter. We ordered some sweet potato fries on the side and some nibbles, which along with the wine came to around £180, which I thought was great for the food and experience we had. I expected it to come to more and would have easily paid £200 plus for it all because it was that great. However the fact that it wasn’t as much as I thought means I’ll definitely be going back again!

I thought service and setting were great. I thought the food quality was average for the price.

Excellent food as always although a few changes noticed from previous visits. Devil’s Cornbread portion has significantly reduced(although still delicious) and wine selection by the glass has changed with seemingly smaller volumes, greater cost and little improvement in the quality. A minor gripe but worth mentioning.
We had the fillet and rump and both were exceptional as were the sides.

Very conformable and as we had 5 in our party we had one of the bigger tables with a leather sofa to sit on. Amazing night time view of St Pauls from the table.
The lamb was excellent. Also as a surprize they have a children's menu for GBP10 each, this was not on the website's menu so that was a saving as we have two sons who had an excellent 3 course child meal.
Service from the staff was very friendly and excellent.
Overall excellent and looking forward to returning.

The whole experience was amazing as expected. We have dined at the Barbecoa - St Paul's several times and this time we thought the dishes were very similar to each other. We appreciated the friendly and professional service.
