Had a lovely greeting on arrival-Service was excellent-afternoon tea was very prompt and waitresses were happy and attentive-afternoon tea was huge and very chocolate orientated which made it a bit sickly so brought some home as too much to eat at the time-though very happy with visit

I didn't realise that the last servings on a Sunday was 3:15 we booked for 3:00 if it had said on the online booking form we would have come earlier,as it was we had very generous helpings of meat and potatoes but the variety of vegs was small, plus I didn't know you are unlicensed. Yes we would come again.

Very disappointed this time, starters were all fine but three of us had beef and it was extremely tough in fact mine was cut very thickly and I sent it back it was so bad they bought more which was thinner but still chewy and tough, We all agreed we would not be returning

We have only every had excellent experiences at Banners, but I do need to say we were very dissapointed with our table, it was far too close to the main kitchen 'hatch' and main counter felt like we were not in the main restaurant (that table really should not be there its not a pleasant experience - even though all the staff are lovely, just feels very impersonal). As we only booked the day before we didn't want to complain but we did notice other tables were free during our visit, we however appreciated these would have been booked and hence didn't think to ask / say anything as thought in 30 minutes these tables will be full but that didn't happen (during our hour and a half anyway). Was also sat right behind a big group with at least 3 small children - again not great seating for a couple wanting a relaxing Sunday dinner. Food was good (my beef was tough though). It wouldn't stop us returning but we know to book more in advance and would exclude that table from our requests - to be quiet honest I'd rather not have come than have sat there - it really affected our overall experience - sorry.

We had Sunday lunches and the food was lovely, although probably too many potatoes, roasted and boiled! Very nice place, will be returning. Car parking is tricky.

Enjoyed a very reasonably priced freshly cooked mini English breakfast. Good quality ingredients and a decent mug of tea.
