A slick destination, Bangalore Waterloo reinvents traditional South Indian dining. Boasting a string of accolades, award-winning executive chef Yogesh Datta was named Best Chef in the 2013 Good Curry Guide.

With dishes designed by award-winning chef Yogesh Datta, the Bangalore menu is innovative, informal and flexible. As well as classic tandoori recipes, lamb meatballs in tempered mint yoghurt, or tandoor-roasted chicken tikka supreme marinated in sweet red chillies, are consistent Bangalore Waterloo favourites. Sharing tapas dishes include chicken kebabs with cooling mint, or vegetable samosas with chick pea curry.

An extensive selection for dessert includes Indian favourites of carrot halwa fudge with Cornish clotted cream or the Bangalore restaurant signature sundae, whilst mini desserts like rich chocolate fondant are served with cleansing masala tea. A children’s menu of miniature Indian-style delights is also served.

Jazzy geometric patterns and low tables and school evoke a trendy, laidback vibe. Bangalore London sits directly opposite Waterloo Station.

Modern eclectic 'Indian' food w a twist or two. Tapas-style dishes are best choice. Service friendly, international but clueless. Bargain beer bucket during happy hour but beer was warm and ice bucket virtually iceless. Fine for pre-theatre but not good enough for a special occasion. It's basically OK, not great, but should be applauded for perking up the usual Indian fare. It is an offshoot of the much posher, dearer Painted Heron in Chelsea. Give it a try but don't expect too much.

The meal was of a very poor standard lacking in flavour or any effort.

Fun atmosphere but food bland. Looked pretty but taste not there.
