I booked a table at Banana Tree because it was participating of the London festival restaurants. I had dinner with friends, we paid [$] for a 2 courses dinner. I think it was a great deal as the food was delicious and the plates are quite generous. We had a great time. I would definitely come back there!

Very fast service despite being very crowded; ambiance is like Wagammama's, very noisy so if you are going for a romantic date, this restaurant is not for you.

Having had high expectations since my visit to Indochina earlier on this year. we went as part of the London food festival. I was dissapointed with Banana Tree, it is part of a chain and it lacks atmosphere. The food is fair and no more than that. The starters arrived after the main course which is dissapointing, they should call them side dishes as in Wagamama. It is suitable for fast food.

Lunch was fantastic, the restaurant was not too busy and service was unobtrusive but friendly and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and, more importantly, tasted exceptional. The subtlety and combination of flavours were something you might expect in a restaurant costing twice as much. Totally happy, and will be returning next week.
