With chic European café style and a buzzing bohemian ambience, Balans Soho Society Seven Dials Café serves up an eclectic all-day menu of gourmet international dishes, popular brunches, and all kinds of signature cocktails.
Offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and morale boosting cocktails, the Balans Soho Society menu reflects the restaurant’s libertine outlook. Savour the pulled pork wrap with bourbon-flamed barbecue sauce and triple-cooked chips, Cornish crab linguine with chilli, or the Infamous Balans Burger, packed with Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, dill pickle and red onion. Brunches here are hugely popular, with classic recipes like eggs Benedict sitting alongside more contemporary options, like Cornish crab with pink grapefruit, squid ink crackers, avocado purée, and wood sorrel.
The plush interior at Balans Soho Society in Covent Garden provides the perfect spot to sample something indulgent from the eclectic cocktail list. Alongside the fine wine selection at the bar, there are a great selection of wonderfully inventive signature cocktails.
A stylish, bustling eatery in one of London's most vibrant areas, Balans Soho Society Seven Dials Café is a 3-minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station.

The atmosphere at Balans was definitely lovely. However, we found the service quite slow (drink and food order came late). Our server was very nice but got both our orders wrong (she corrected it though), and I had to pick up my milk at the bar myself after asking for it three times. Nevertheless, nice place to have breakfast/brunch.

Our visit for breakfast was excellent. Great service, friendly and attentive. Nice variety of menu choices. The kedgeree, eggs Benedict with spinach, and the pancakes we ordered were all prepared and served beautifully and tasted great. Nice decor. Seating area was bright and comfortable. Nice choice of music played at a pleasant volume allowing conversation.

Lovely place, very central ie right next to the bar we were drinking in. Lovely light and airy café, very minimal decor. Small menu but the food was amazing. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable for such a central and popular touristy area. My only gripe was that the wine we wanted wasn't available but the staff did let us taste an alternative

I booked brunch here for my boyfriends birthday. It was a great choice. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food, we had the high society eggs benedict, was delicious.

We went for a late brunch on a Sunday, the place was rather empty, still we waited for a long time for our food. My friend asked for pancakes with banana and berries and was told there will be a surcharge as the menu included only one option (banana OR berries). She said it’s fine. When the food came, we counted 4-5 thin slices of banana and 3 berries. Not to be petty, but charging £2 for 3 berries seems a bit steep, even if it’s Covent Garden. When we asked for the bill, again, we waited for a long time, even though at that time, there seemed to be 2 tables occupied.
Won’t be coming back very soon to be honest.

The service we received was exceptional from all members of the team. From the greeting to the quality of food and drink we were treated with the utmost care and genuine hospitality. This was a birthday celebration and we enjoyed wonderful meals from the new Summer Menu which we would highly recommend!

Restaurant was half empty but food took a long time to get to the table. We had lunch because brunch is only available on weekends.
I ordered the hamburger and when I opened it the bacon and cheese was missing... of course the waitress said sorry and the problem was solved, but you get an idea of how the kitchen works.
