Combining a love of Italian cuisine with a passion for fine wine, B’Acino is a neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant in Shoreditch.

Led by sharing plates and platters, the B’Acino menu features hearty dishes like baked camembert with crispy focaccia, pulled pork on toast with guacamole and peppers, and seared tuna with ginger, chilli and soya. Packed with seasonal produce, platters are loaded with cured meats, cheeses, whilst classic carbonara and risotto with gorgonzola cream are among the traditional Italian main dishes.

The desserts at Bacino London are equally tempting, and include gnocchi stuffed with Nutella and lemon and lime cheesecake. On hand to complement every dish, the extensive wine list features bottles from around the world, and is joined by a selection of classic cocktails.

Rustic yet contemporary, B’Acino in Shoreditch is filled with mirrors, candle-lit tables and modern artwork. The restaurant is a 6-minute walk from Shoreditch High Street Station, and 8 minutes from Old Street Station.

I was here for Valentine’s Day and had a set menu that was very overpriced given the quality of the meal. The portions were small and the food itself was not great. Good wine, but that was the only highlight for me.

The food was lovely, but the service was lacking. The waitress had some friends, at a table next to us, whom she deemed much more important than the other guests, so getting her attention to get the bill was a trial of patience.

B'acino is a little restaurant tucked away in the city. We were a group of 5 for lunch - the only ones there.
the food was good but the service was slow and could have been more attentive.
