The Bac Saint Germain is a mid sized restaurant that attracts both business and leisure crowds. It is ideally situated in the famous Saint Germain des Près district just a short walk from the Musée d'Orsay. The chef Olivier Metayer has an impressive CV having worked for the likes of Alain Ducasse and Joël Roubouchon. He produces creative and modern French cuisine in a contemporary ambiance. For starters you might want to try lightly scrambled eggs with morel mushrooms cooked in their own juices, follow this with scallops cooked on a hot stone and seasoned with echalottes and parsley. The dessert menu is just as inventive with sliced pineapple lemon and ginger heart or rice and mango wraps with coconut sorbet.
