Staff friendly, food good and well presented but very little choice for dairy free which causes me a problem and the menu hasn't changed for ages so can only eat one starter and one main which does make it a little boring.

The restaurant did not have record of my booking but got us seats in the bar area. Food was served quickly and was a good standard. Our waitress was lovely

Unfortunately the service was very slow booked our table for 5.45pm food was served just before 7pm. It was a shame as the food was very nice when it did arrive.

Visited before theatre. Not enough staff working. One of our side dishes was missing so told one of the staff. Still didn’t arrive by the end of the meal. Spoke to manager who wasn’t very apologetic about it. Won’t be using again

Despite having an early booking the service was slow and our food when it came was cold, we sent pizzas and also chips back. It appeared short staffed and unable to cope. Very disappointing. Only good thing was we were given 25% discount on our bill and one member of staff was very apologetic.

I was caught in traffic and my husband called to warn you that I would be late. He called 7 times but nobody answered - just the answerphone. As requested, he left his name and phone number but nobody called back.
Food was good but we ordered at 18.30 and only got served at 19.15, so we had to rush our meal in order to see the show in the theatre.

We booked early (5:30) so we would have plenty of time before the show in the theatre at 7:30. We arrived 10 minutes early and the restaurant was empty apart from one large table. We ordered our meal pretty quickly and got our starter about 5:45. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly as expected before a show. The staff were obviously stressed as it appeared there were only 3 serving, apparently someone had called in sick so they were short staffed for the evening. We waited and waited for our main meal and had to ask the waitress a couple of times on the progress. We finally got our meal at 6:45, over an hour after we had ordered. There were still some tables nearby who had not received their meals at 7:10 when we left.
I can understand problems like this when staff call in sick but it seems to be the standard for this restaurant, the people on the next table told us that it happened the last time they came and there are plenty of reviews on the internet that say the same. So I doubt that it was staff who called in sick and that it's just that the restaurant doesn't want to employ enough staff to cover the rush time.
The food was O.K, not bad enough to complain about it but not good enough to wait an hour for, or to coax us back.
Anyway, very disappointing. We won't be back.

We came to the restaurant at 6pm and was due in the theatre at 7:30. We were seated straight away and given menus. We waited at least 15mins before anyone approached us. Drinks and olives were ordered eventually. Drinks came reasonably quick but no sign of of the olives so I had to ask. Ordered dinner easily for myself but my mum who is celiac and needs gluten free had a little more trouble. Why are you not up to date with other restaurants that cater well for people with allergies. There was about three meals she would have liked to have had , but all because you don't have a separate fryer she couldn't have the chips. I find this was a huge let down because all she could settle with is you catering for the gluten-free pasta. Her meal came out and it was small and not very filing. On the other side I was very satisfied with my steak and think it was probably the best one I've had in ages. Service itself was very slow. Our puddings came out without cutlery so we had to wait for someone to go and wash them and bring them out. By this point the hot sticky toffee pudding I had ordered was cold and the ice cream melted. I feel I am a reasonable person but in general was very let down and on that would probably not return. Our dinner came to just over £60 which isn't cheap to eat out if you don't enjoy it. The staff that served us looked like they wanted to be somewhere else and clearly just not bothered and extremely slow. It took us a while to pay because everybody was doing the same thing and leaving at the same time to go into the theatre ready for the show at 7:30. the problem with this was there was only one person running around with the pay machine and people waving their credit cards in the air. I have visited your restaurant on several occasions but find this time the worst. I just feel very let down that my Mum couldn't enjoy her dinner and have something she wanted when it's not that difficult to accommodate for someone with a gluten free allergy.

Just awful... We booked here prior to Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake. Arrived in plenty of time and were seated promptly on a table for 6 even though we had booked for 3 persons. We suggested to the waitress we move to a smaller table but she was rather abrupt and said as we'd booked for 6 this was our table. I politely said we booked for 3 at 6pm, she wasn't having any of it. Within a few minutes she sat 4 people at a table for three so we suggested we swop tables of which the customers were very grateful for. It took some time until our order was taken, it was obvious that the staff were rushed off their feet. We placed our drink and food at the same time, the waitress explained that other staff had called in sick hence them being extremely busy. It took almost an hour for our drinks to arrive, shortly before our food. Had we not be seeing a show we would have left and gone elsewhere, however being a Friday evening at prime time this was not an option for us. The drinks were spot on and gratefully received, the food however was a different story. Two of us chose the Pollo Milanse which had literally been thrown on the plate, was burnt and considering the price it was an extremely small portion. The other person in my party had a pizza, again burnt and had limited toppings, certainly not worth the £15 price tag.
In short we had a disgusting, inedible meal which has left a sour taste in our mouths. I personally will never go back. The staff were lovely considering the stress they were under. Did I complain at the time? I didn't no as I felt it was unfair to the hardworking staff who showed up for their shift plus I was running extremely late for our show...
A real shame.

I chose a salad and it was awful. The dressing seemed to be pure vinegar and I found it difficult to eat. I asked for sticky toffee pudding and was served with a Brownie!
On reflection I should have sent the salad back but didn’t want to spoil the tone of the evening.
