Awana may mean 'the clouds' in Malay, but this seductive Kensington restaurant still has its feet firmly on the ground. An adventurous menu mixes in modern interpretations of traditional Malaysian street food to create a large selection of curries, soups, grills, and stir-fries, with most ingredients imported from Malaysia. All dark wood and silk panels, this is the perfect place for dinner à deux.

Customer reviews for Awana

This was our first time at Awana's and our experience was pretty average. We used a Groupon special offer with a set menu for [$] instead of [$]. The meal would not be worth paying the full price for. Main courses were quite small and they don't come with rice like in many other places. There were quite a few Groupon diners there at the same time as us and we got the impression that we were being rushed to finish our meal as we were not full paying customers. Lots of business people around which makes me think that it is the ideal place for business dinner where the company pays for it!
