Restaurant description

Directly opposite Hyde Park, Aubaine is a wonderfully elegant French restaurant, patisserie and boulangerie. Classic recipes are served in chic surroundings, with premium wines, champagnes and cocktails served from the bar.

The Aubaine Notting Hill menu covers all-day dining, and is bursting with French specialities. For breakfast and brunch, there are freshly-made pastries, exotic fruit cocktails, and light bites such as croque monsieur. Seasonal soup of the day sits alongside superfood salads and beef carpaccio with truffle vinaigrette, while classic French favourites include mussels with white wine, parsley and crisp fries. Sharing plates include the charcuterie board, and a baked whole Camembert with crushed walnuts and truffle oil.

Champagne, carefully selected world wines and classic cocktails can be found on the drinks menu at Aubaine in London. Sweet treats from the patisserie make perfect desserts, with the selection changing all the time.

A perfect pitstop for those enjoying the park, Aubaine is just a minute's walk from Queensway Tube Station.

Food was AWFUL. I ordered Lobster Spaghetti at £30. It came swilling in a goopy sauce that had been thickened with corn flour which you could taste. £30 for this meal is a complete rip off. I mentioned it to the waiter and to their credit, they deducted 20% off the lobster dish. Ambience and staff were pleasant but food very overpriced for what you get

I know it was mid January and so there were less people out, but this branch of Aubaine was soulless. The mood was matched only by the mediocre food - a steak burger with one strip of over cooked beef - was not the Aubaine fare I've grown used to in some of the other branches, notably Marylebone High Street. Fortunately, the waitress and company were good, but I will be catching up with my friends from the wilds of Scotland way before I go heading back to Aubaine Notting Hill. Disappointing.

We were looking for somewhere for an early supper before a performance in Sussex Gardens. Not the most promising of locations for food but Aubaine on Bayswater toad was great - what a surprise. Views straight down into Kensington Gardens were a bonus.

Service was very poor. We did not get served our first drink till half an hour after we were seated. And to add to it, the staff were very rude. Will definitely never return.

Meeting an old friend who has mobility problems. Lots of room to manoeuvre without causing hassle. Good service, good food.?

Had the vegan option. Food was lovely, service was very good and the wine/beer list wasn't too pricey.

The food was lovely especially the scrambled egg and truffle on toast. Everyone was very polite and so helpful, I really enjoyed it.

Great Value for money. Good food. One waitress looked half a sleep though. We waited for a long while for cutlery. She forgot so we stole some from the table next to us. Then, she showed us the cake selection twice ??. Nice restaurant though and it was very pretty.
