Drawing inspiration from trendy New York cicchetti-style restaurants, familial-style dining is perfected at Assaggetti. An array of small Italian sharing plates and light bites are crafted with Italian passion.
Magnificent and chic, Assaggetti Haymarket features a state-of-the-art grand glass chandelier, chic leather booth seating and vintage-style mirrors. There is relaxed counter stool dining at Assaggetti London or formal dining in the contemporary restaurant. Bright, modern Assaggetti is set across 2 floors and exudes a lively buzz in the dining room, which has large oak tables and an earthy colour palette.
Handmade spaghettoni and duck ragù feature on the Assaggetti menu, alongside rustic dishes like fresh black risotto with cuttlefish or spinach and ricotta pizzettine. Assaggetti presents sumptuous Italian dessert classics like creamy tiramisu or wild berry panna cotta.
A vibrant West End restaurant, Assaggetti restaurant is just next to Theatre Royal Haymarket. Picadilly Circus Tube Station is just a 4-minute walk away.

We arrived earlier than booked, and asked if we could dine earlier that planned. This seemed to cause a bit of confusion, not sure why are the place was less than half full (and was by the time of our original booking). The service seemed rushed as well as though they wanted us out ASAP, thisnkedt a bit of a sour taste on the whole experience.

My dining experience was extremely disappointing-both bad food and bad service. We ordered calamari and the sausage for starters which were alright. The mains took approximately an hour to come which meant we almost missed a matinee opera that we had booked. When they finally came in (the prawns and the calf liver), they were unpalatable and we ended up leaving the food untouched. Oddly enough, no server even bothered to ask why we didn't eat our food or check up on us. Strange experience!

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Location was great - so central for theatre land but out of the hustle and bustle. Good was delicious and prices were reasonable. Portions were a nice size - although a hungry person might have found them a little small. I had the gnocchi Gorgonzola which was perfect for a cheese lover.

Lovely place and perfect service but the portions are tiny; ensure you take at least a two course meal.

It was a great experience. We loved the ravioli and the kids were happy with the pasta. The service was very good.

Pleasant, convenient atmosphere, and good service, but the food was mediocre. Decent starters, but mains disappointing. My spaghetti carbonara was very light on the carbonara, and therefore expensive for what was little more than a plate of spaghetti. Drinks were also expensive.

This pre-theatre supper worked really well for us. Warm and friendly welcome in the rain, good food promptly served, good service.
