From its picturesque promenade perch, Aspect Bar and Bistro boasts spectacular views of Morecambe Bay the year round. Serving delicious European-style cuisine made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, the restaurant is famed for its acclaimed range of one-off cocktails.

Featuring a host of local treats, as well as meats sourced from the local butcher, The Aspect Bar & Bistro menu blends sumptuous surf and turf dishes with foraged, seasonal vegetables and trimmings. Try the melt-in-your-mouth confit leg of duck with butterfly fondant potato, or for a traditional Morecambe meal, the classic steamed mussels in a white wine, garlic and parsley sauce.

Set within the beautiful Lothersdale hotel, Aspect in Lancashire offers a range of freshly made seafood tapas dishes that are perfect for sharing. Each of these can be sampled while enjoying one of the bistro’s signature ice cream cocktails – an indulgent seaside treat.

Went with great expectations and was left completely disappointed. Starter Salmon with Saffron Scrambled Eggs. Nice Salmon but the eggs had no Saffron colour or flavour and no other seasoning. Black Pudding Tart with Pork Scratching Crumb and Poached Egg:- No Flavour, No Seasoning and two pieces of Pork Scratching (No Pork Scratching Crumb). Main Duck Breast with Red Wine Sauce. ( No Seasoning, Tasteless Sauce) Venison with Ale again no flavour. Menu said Home Made Flavoured crème brûlée to a secret recipe. After asking what the flavour was the girl went away and came back to tell me it was Vanilla but as all crème brûlée are Vanilla decided to give it a miss. Lemon Posset with Home Made Short Cake Biscuit. Arrived with a Lotus Biscuit stuck in the top but after complaining got two Short Cake Biscuits thrown on a separate plate. No Lemon Flavour. Cheese Board not as described cheese's substituted but was not told this when I ordered. Baileys Coffee if I said it had a flavour I would be being kind.

    Shocking Avoid!
