Fantastic choice of food. My favourite starter is the butterfly prawns. Favourite main is Stromboli pizza or al pollo fungi della casa

We wanted a quick meal so just had an excellent risotto and a bottle of Merlot. Good service. Impossible to escape some rather unpleasant music although the waitress did turn it down a little

The food was good, and we liked the glass jugs. The waitress had a smile, but on the whole the service was slack. A tall dark waiter greeted us (three of the party who arrived separately from the first guest) at the door and despite my saying that we had a table booked for four in our name, he seated us at a small table near the road entrance, which bore no reserved sign. He clearly didn't listen and check the name against the booked table in their records Unbeknown to us our first guest had arrived a minute or two before the rest of us, and had already been seated around the corner on the cool side of the restaurant at the bigger table that had clearly been reserved for our party.. Fifteen minutes went by until we realised what had happened, and our celebratory meal was cut short before a concert later in the evening. No apology was given. It then took a long time for our order to be taken. It was difficult to attract the attention of staff at the end of the meal. They were on the whole not very alert and observant. We asked for water and a glass for one of the guests who had been overlooked. . The water arrived without a glass, and we had to remind the waitress of the missing glass. At the end of the meal the waitress asked whether I'd like to pay a tip. This to me was inappropriate in the light of the unecessary mix-up with our table booking. This was not the standard of service we have experienced there in the past. Most disappointing.

We went to Ask in Wigmore Street on a very hot day before a concert, so chose light pizzas and rainbow salad - both were excellent. We then had sorbets and were very impressed, particularly by the prosecco sorbet. We were offered shot glasses of lemon juice to add to our water - a nice touch. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable meal, with friendly service.
