Food very good. However, service was very poor on this occasion. Felt we had to rush the meal to get to theatre on time. We waited 45 minutes after ordering food and table who arrived after us had order taken before us. Very disappointing.

Love this restaurant. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Always go here before the theatre.Food is excellent, love the spaghetti lentil ragu and zucchini frites. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, especially when hubby asks for Gorgonzola on his pizza. Greatly recommend Liverpool ask Italian.

Because I am Coeliac my options are limited but ASK have a great choice. The staff were amazing and the whole dining experience was awesome. It made our trip to Liverpool an unforgettable day.

Managed to get our table early which was a bonus as going on to the theatre. Good selection on the menu and with the helpful staff it was simple to order what we wanted. Our food was served quickly and of good quality. Coffee and deserts were excellent. A good choice all round. Would consider going here again.

Ask is clean and spacious with tasteful decor . Staff were friendly and attentive . Food was amazing ( and I cook a lot and am fussy when I eat out! ) we had pasta dishes . I had black and white ravioli stuffed with soft beef and Ragu , served with s red wine sauce . My friend had purple pesto tagliatelle with pine nuts and chicken. We stared salad and rosemary and sea salt bread with a very acceptable glass of wine each . Rose and a puglian red . Dessert was pear frangipani tart and a pistachio and olive oil cake . All delicious ??

Felt as though we were not expected.as our table was not ready.so was sat somewhere else set for 4 persons.
My wifes glass had a piece missing from the rim also had lipstick on it from a previous diner. The starters were quite dry and did not have any sauce on them.the meal was like it had been microwaved as it was very hot and dry.
The staff and manager had no knowledge of the discount scheme with Tesco clubcard owners.felt a bit embarrassed having to explain it .

Booked and pre ordered from the festivo menu for our works night our pre theatre dinner.
on arrival very impressed that our order was placed on the back of name/place cards. we were given a shot of lemonade which was nice, and then brought our glasses of prosecco which were included in the menu, we then had to ask to order more drinks and to see the wine menu.
7 of us were dining, our starters arrived well 3 did, obviously they didn't start to eat as they were waiting for the rest of our group so we could eat togeather, eventually one of the waitress's came to say they were on the way. When they did arrive the 3 that had came earlier were now cold very disappointing, as I say they did apologise however it had already ruined the meal. The waitress then proceeded to clear plates even though I was still eating my starter and one of our group had to point out to her that this was rude.
our mains arrived all together however one of the items ordered was not as described prima light pizza , it was also very sparse with ingredients (maybe the light meant that there's no food).
Our deserts were lovely no complaints about them at all.
we were given a discount on the food and some free drinks, however the meal we were looking forward to for months was below par and will probably not return in a rush.

Very enjoyable meal. Staff most welcoming and friendly. Good variety in each course. Got a bit more noisy as it filled up- but that could apply to most restaurants. Ours was a pre-theatre meal and this location was ideal for at least 3 Liverpool theatres. Will definitely go back anytime we may be in that area.
