Restaurant description

In the heart of the historic city, ASK Italian Canterbury, provides authentic Italian fare in relaxed surroundings. Canterbury Cathedral is a 4-minute walk away and the Marlowe Theatre is even closer.

Inspired by the Italian way of eating, ASK Italian celebrates mealtimes as an opportunity to connect with one another around the table. Start with a perfect-for-sharing antipasti board from the ASK Italian menu, and enjoy signature dishes from fresh pasta to crispy stone-baked pizzas with a great choice of toppings. And because there’s always room for dessert, diners can indulge in a selection of beautiful desserts including the chocolate Etna, served with plenty of theatre.

ASK Italian restaurants showcase Italian cuisine at affordable prices, with allergen information on hand if ever you need it, plus a fun kids menu. Premium beers, including Sicily’s most famous craft beer, Messina Bira, are available alongside Italian wines, cocktails and soft drinks, like a refreshing craft lemonade.

A popular Italian restaurant, Canterbury ASK Italian is only an 8-minute walk from Canterbury West Rail Station.

Loved it here as always. Enjoyed the meal and the staffcwere good. Also, seats as well as tables were sanatised when people left. Was however disappointed that some people arrived, and left, without masks until seated. We are in our 70's and need to take extra care.

Made a booking but could not get seat where we wanted as people who had not booked were allowed to take them also ordered nibbles while we waited for starter and we got them at same time. Okay, she took nibbles off bill but this was our first time out since lockdown and it was spoiled.

Enjoyable meal and very welcoming waiting staff.....Nice cosy place to enjoy a meal but one item on the menu (a popular item) was not available. Food was adequate and nicely presented.

Excellent evening. I went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised! The food was all good very tasty everyone was pleased with their choices! We had a lovely waitress she was amusing and very organised. I guess the only down side was the heat and the ineffectual fans and none of the windows opened.

Service was great, staff were friendly food was great too. It was 5.30 so very busy and the staff handled it well. The room itself was very noisy. There was nothing to dampen the noise of the people, which made it just noisy. Other than that, it was great. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food

Had a birthday booking for 17 people. Had to pre order our starters and mains in advance of the day. Staff very attentive, courses all came out together and were really nice. The tables needed a little reshuffling when we got there because their wasn’t enough space for 2 of the people. Overall a really good night, would definitely recommend.

The staff phoned me at home prior to my visit to confirm my booking as there was a problem with snow. I had to then adjust the time so phoned them. They were very polite and clear to me that the restaurant would close early at 9pm so staff could get home.
