Restaurant description

Inspired by the culinary customs of Havana, Asia de Cuba offers Asian and Cuban-themed cuisine in the famous St Martins Lane hotel. The Asia de Cuba bar is famous for its expertly-mixed mojitos, and the edgy dining room features wall-mounted plant pots, eclectic antique-style furnishings and portrait photographs.

Showcasing experimental flavour combinations and twists on old favourites, the Asia de Cuba menu is brought to you by Cuban-born chef Luis Pous. Bursting-with-colour dishes are served sharing style, and might include chilli-rubbed scallops with black rice and beans, duck confit with brown rice and orange, or seven-spiced chicken. For dessert, indulge in signature sugar-rolled Mexican doughnuts with gooey caramel & warm chilli chocolate, or guava cheesecake.

Meticulously-compiled house cocktails at Asia de Cuba near Leicester Square include tropical mixes, along with traditional Cuban recipes.

A fun, diverse restaurant in London featuring ground-breaking interior design, Asia de Cuba is a 3-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station. A pre-theatre favourite, Covent Garden is just 5 minutes away.

A bit tricky to find initially on a busy Sunday evening . Reception was great but a bit rushed . The steward that sat us hurried me through while I was waiting for my family to hang up their coats , saying “ they’ll see you where you’re sat” and quickly rushed off . Our steward for the evening , Algerian guy was amazing . Chatting , recommending the best dishes , I was worried my kids would be picky , but he knew exactly what they’d like and he wasn’t wrong at all , so thank you . The ambience was lovely and the music too , best of all was the food - wow!!!! We’ll certainly be back

The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the food and cocktails were lovely and the service was the best I’ve had in a long time!

Lacked atmosphere and warmth. Service was poor - to the point of rudeness. Food mediocre. Trying too hard to be different to the point where it wasn't very appetising. A waitress nearly dropped a load of dirty plates on our table - never apologised or mopped up our table which by this time had food from another table's plates. Won't return.

I have been wanting to come to Asia de Cuba for a while. It was worth the wait. The atmosphere is great and I love the layout. For a large space it still feels very intimate. The fish I ordered was cooked beautifully, just perfect and succulent. My friend ordered the salmon and it was equally as good.

Very busy as expected in the run up to Christmas, but overall not too noisy due to the large dining room. We had a LOT of difficulty finding the venue and had to call to get directions. Excellent food and although the complimentary cocktails were forgotten, after reminding we had them at the end of our meal which actually worked as they were minty and refreshing. Only gripe was that our table was next to an elaborate display of plants and there was NO room for serving staff to manoeuvre behind me, which was the main thoroughfare to that part of the dining area. Suffice to say one of the plants was spectacularly knocked off the display with lots of soil and debris around me and my bag. No apology offered at all which was pretty poor.
