Had table booked for 5pm. It appeared that the full compliment of staff were not there until about 17:30. Therefore, it took a very long time before someone came and took our order. My previous experiences of this restuarant have all been very good. But I felt that because we were using a voucher (1 additional main course for a £1) and did not order a starter we were treated less well. Plates and drinks clattered down on table rather than placed. Once the full compliment of waiting staff had arrived, things improved, with the waitresses being very courteous as usaual. The peshwari nan bread was gorgeous as usual, but I was a bit disappointed with my main meal (prawn tikka masala). I usually find the food in this retuarant really good, but on this date it was very ordinary.

We arrived at lunchtime. The chef was giving a talk to local school children and answering any queries to them about Indian cooking. It was all very interesting The local press were also in attendance. A true care in the community restaurant. We received our meal quickly and it was delicious. Tikka Masala was superb. Pakora starters were very big portions The staff were also excellent.
