Arrived early but they seated us straight away. Nice window table, lovely view bit obscured by rain. Quick service. Afternoon tea was very good. Quiche, selection of sandwiches, scones/jam/cream, cakes , mousse, as much tea or coffee as we wished. Pretty busy with nice atmosphere. Everything was great. Friendly staff very helpful.

The food was insufficient and not of the highest quality. Overall the experience was very disappointing. I will not go again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Not what I was expecting. Service good although half sandwich should have been replaced, food average.

Lovely experience. It was a treat for my parents and they had a lovely couple of hours .Nice setting .When you approach you see the hotel from the back which doesn't do it justice . The girls who served us were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us . We had afternoon tea and it was lovely . Only comment on the negative side was that the little chocolate cup cakes were very dry and the tea was a little weak.
We were allowed to look around and some of the rooms which were vacant were open too .We were able to look in to them .They looked lovely . It's a gem and quaint .If you have any relatives from abroad over particularly from the USA .....they will love it .
