We had afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast. Afternoon tea was absolutely lovely and a good selection but no tea was offered with it and when I asked if it come with tea, the waitress didn't know and said she will find out. She was working on her own and seemed really stretched. In the end we had no tea offered to us and only the wine menu. For dinner I had the steak which was the best and my wife had duck but the bean salad it layed on was has fridge cold and half hot from the cooked duck (we didn't know if it wasn't cooked or was ment to be cold and the duck had heated it up) in the end she left it but it was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, with a lot for staff and things flowed nicely. Breakfast was amazing! Best food of our stay. We phoned reception and they squeezed us in early. Everything was cooked lovely and couldn't fault the breakfast or service.

We had afternoon tea in the quench bar which was cozy and ambient even in daylight. Staff were very attentive and friendly, they made us feel exceptionally welcome. The drinks were brought to our table very quickly and although we had to wait a while for the food we were always kept informed of time frames. The food itself was lovely with the scones being incredibly soft and obviously very fresh. We left feeling that the afternoon was good value for money (we were quite full afterwards) and we were valued customers.

Myself and my daughter booked afternoon tea at Ashford International Hotel at the last minute as we were unable to go to London where we had booked afternoon tea due to the Coronavirus tier two lockdown restrictions, as we are from separate households. We were very disappointed that we could not go to London however we were pleasantly surprised to find that Ashford International Hotel offer afternoon tea including a vegan option. The service was first class and very friendly particularly from our waiter called Jack who gave us a choice of tables and was extremely warm and welcoming. The restaurant was very peaceful and comfortable and it had a lovely ambience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous and the tea was plentiful. Needless to say that we soon forgot about not being able to go to London and only a ten minute walk from my home!

Waited 45mins for tea and coffee at breakfast. Probably didn't eat until an hour later than we sat down. Very under staffed. Dirty tables and plates left around. Hallways to rooms left with trays of food and wine bottles which were there still 24hrs later. Bathroom in room 121 (where my friend stayed) was not clean, toilet disgusting, pillows not washed properly and room freezing cold. Having been here in the past was greatly disappointed this time round especially given it was meant to be a relaxing spa break before my baby is due.

We stayed for 2 nights breakfast and dinner was very nice both days. Afternoon tea on the other hand was just placed on the table with a kettle of English tea for both of us. There was no mention of what was in the sandwiches and no one came back to see if we wanted anything else. I had to find someone to pay for it. I just wanted it a bit special as it was my husband’s 50th birthday

Cakes were wonderful, sandwiches not really to taste with Coronation Chicken. very surprised just one small cup of tea with no offer of more. Expected a pot to be honest. Location in lounge very good and had to ourselves which is good in current climate. Staff were friendly, but seemed understaffed and doing too much to check on customer's needs. We are Q breakaway members and stayed at many of the hotels more times than you could shake a stick at. That is because of the dinning experiences and comfort of rooms and staff friendliness.
