The seasonal Anderida menu is complemented by a comprehensive AA Notable Wine List, exhibiting the best European and New World vintages and award-winning champagne. The Anderida Sommeliers will advise the perfect accompaniment to locally sourced Lamberhurst wild duck or 38-day aged fillet of beef.

    Cocktails, food, staff/service, surroundings and interior of hotel beyond reproach!

    Appearance of cream tea and selection delightful. S ones however, we're diapointingly stale. Probably made day before and reheated. Very hard. Cakes were divine. Posset or cream dessert not set.

    Chose the 3 course menu and the food and service was very good. However, thought the restaurant looked a bit tired and floor around the table could have done with a Hoover. That being said we were not hassled to leave the table or bothered about ordering more drinks etc.

    We really enjoyed our dining (Sunday lunch) experience. Lovely hotel, lovely dining room, attentive staff and good food. We enjoyed our starters. For the main course my guest ate roast pork, while I had roast beef ... (a huge serving of beef — far more on the plate than I could manage!). The plum tart was a little disappointing, but overall, we enjoyed our meal and hope to return.

    I have to say having book a table for 4 with some close friends to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we were not totally happy. while sat in the lounge area for pre drinks, we had to beckon the waiter over to get a refill, while they stood around talking to each over.The food was lovely as expected but again the service was poor at best. I personally sat with my food warmer covering my food while the rest of my guest's waiting for me while theirs was getting cold - I eventually had to call over to a waiter to come and remove it. Again later one we had to request for our wine glasses to be refilled, while the waiters stood around talking. The restaurant was not at all busy and so I would have expected much better service from the staff.

    Very pleasant restaurant and we were given table 1 by the window which was very nice.The meal we had was good but the starter choices were very poor - tomato soup was the only plate I could have. The drinks were very expensive.

    Disappointed. Sorry. The crab tart was weirdly tepid with spice that overpowered the crab. The Dover sole at £42 was over cooked. The beef was lovely but soggy carrots and hard potatoes. Puds at £10 were pretty uninspiring. The staff are nice but so over attentive, refilling glasses the minute you’ve had a sip and whipped plates away as you put down your cutlery. Doesn’t make for a relaxing dinner.
