Restaurant description

From world-famous Bollywood star Asha Bhosle and featured in the Michelin Guide 2019, Asha’s Manchester is a stylish Indian restaurant, marrying authentic recipes with culinary innovation. Occupying one of the city’s finest Victorian palazzo buildings, flavour-packed dishes are served against a backdrop of lavish interiors.

Inspired by regional flavours and the culinary traditions of North West India, the Asha’s restaurant menu uses Asha’s trademark spice blends, created under the supervision of Asha herself by the in-house spice master. Fusing tradition and innovation, sample dishes like venison samosas, duck kebab with pineapple relish, and Scottish salmon biryani.

BolliBar on the lower ground floor of Asha’s Manchester is a glamourous spot for pre or post-dinner drinks. A drinks list curated by an award-winning mixologist makes it a destination for the authentic, the eclectic and the exotic.

Asha’s Indian restaurant in Spinningfields, sits in the heart of the city. Deansgate Rail Station is a 10-minute walk away.

Adter decades of eating in Indian restaurants it was great to come to a classy place where freshness and careful spicing are the norm. Poppadoms and relishes were different and delicious. Chicken tikka murgh sharer was succulent and delicious. Vindaloo and biryani both beautifully spiced and fresh tasting.

Delicious meal from start to end. Particularly loved the monkfish starter. The whole feel of the restaurant is relaxing, warm and rich.

Wonderful meal to a very high standard and I was presented with a birthday cheesecake. We love this restaurant at KPMG and I often recommend it.

A selection of starters and mains to share. Not a bad choice amongst them. The scallops were a personal favourite.

Quite an under whelming experience. We had heard very good reports and decided to give it a try. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. We ordered the pre theatre menu. The starters were average but certainly good value for money. The main course (a choice of 3, we chose rogan josh) was very disappointing. The lamb was dry, over cooked and tasteless. Much better quality and choices available at other more reasonably priced eateries.

Good but much more chilli than on previous visits so a bit hot for us. Also given a parking reduction ticket which didn't work!
