From world-famous Bollywood star Asha Bhosle and featured in the Michelin Guide 2017, Asha’s Manchester is a stylish Indian restaurant, marrying authentic recipes with culinary innovation. Occupying one of the city’s finest Victorian palazzo buildings, flavour-packed dishes are served against a backdrop of lavish interiors.

Inspired by regional flavours and the culinary traditions of North West India, the Asha’s restaurant menu uses Asha’s trademark spice blends, created under the supervision of Asha herself by the in-house spice master. Fusing tradition and innovation, sample dishes like venison samosas, duck kebab with pineapple relish, and Scottish salmon biryani.

BolliBar on the lower ground floor of Asha’s Manchester is a glamourous spot for pre or post-dinner drinks. A drinks list curated by an award-winning mixologist makes it a destination for the authentic, the eclectic and the exotic.

Asha’s Indian restaurant in Spinningfields, sits in the heart of the city. Deansgate Rail Station is a 10-minute walk away.

Reception was deserted when we arrived so we went downstairs to the bar which was likewise devoid of staff. We waited 10 minutes to get a drink but nobody turned up, even though staff in the kitchens could see we were there. We decided to go upstairs and were seated promptly at a quiet table as we'd asked for. Drinks were offered after a few minutes and arrived about 15 minutes later. Our food orders were taken together with the wine order. Our food arrived in good time and the quality was excellent. The lobster especially so. The lady managing the floor did go out of her way to apologise for the delays in service which was very honest. Staff regularly checked on us thereafter and made sure we needed nothing else. The bill arrived and unfortunately I had failed to notice that the wine delivered to the table wasn't the one I had ordered. A slight difference in price of £150/bt. The floor manager acknowledged the mistake immediately and offered to charge the price for the wine I had ordered, but I decided we would split the difference to their benefit as the wine concerned was very good indeed.

To sum up this is a great restaurant which I think just had a bad evening because they were busier than they expected on a Monday night or had staff let them down perhaps. The food is delicious and the attention during our meal was touching.

Food was flavoursome and staff attentive. Pre theatre menu was a great deal just pity about the crafty addition of poppadoms and charge

Had a fantastic meal at Asha's. All my party enjoyed their choices could not fault any part if the service or food. I am wheat intolerant and the menu advises of which dishes are gluten free which was very helpful. Slightly disappointing however that the popadoms were not GF so i could not tuck in to the pickle tray with my friends.

We really like the way staff interacted and the ambience of the place. When we arrived for lunch there was no one one at the entrance so not sure if we need to go upstairs or stay in the lobby. After couple of minutes we went upstairs as we heard few people talking. One of the waitress received us when we went up and seated us when we announced about our reservation for 1330 and our name. Menu was present but was failed to show the new menu Three Indians and an englishmen as we really like one of the options in that menu. We placed our order and after few minutes our starters arrived along wit our mains. Presentation and taste of the food was really nice but we would have preferred our starters first and then mains as food got luke warn by the time we had our mains.
