An English garden in the heart of bustling Birmingham city centre, Aria is set under a glass atrium roof which floods the restaurant with natural light by day. As the sun sets, tiny lights in the surrounding trees begin to glow creating a romantic place to dine.

Serving exciting flavour combinations from breakfast through to dinner using fresh, seasonal, British produce, stars of the dinner menu are the 8oz Angus, grass feed, Irish beef fillet or the grilled sea bream. Indulgences for dessert include summer fruit crème brûlée, served with earl grey tea shortbread.

The intimate Aria bar comes alive from 5pm and serves English wines and exquisite local gins for an after work tipple or a pre-dinner drink. Performers take to the stage on a grand piano so guests can relax and enjoy light entertainment as they sample delights from the menu.

An earthy yet awe-inspiring setting, Aria on Broad Street is a 5-minute drive from Birmingham New Street Rail Station.

Amazing afternoon tea with a wide choice of teas (complementary refill).
Finger sandwiches, custard cream and blackberries desserts were delicious.
Our waiter (Kabir) was welcoming and kind.
We unfortunately waited a long time despite our booking.
    Scones could be lighter.
We regret not to enjoy a view on canals

Excellent food and the service was exemplary. Kind, efficient and very accommodating. This was a very special occasion. - a reunion with university friends whom met 40 years ago. The chef and waitress brought us a decorated plate acknowledging the occasion with complimentary chocolates. Very much appreciated. Will definitely dine there again.
    Thank you

Ordered from the pre show menu. Absolutely delicious! My husband thought the chicken was one of the best dishes he’d ever had.

Nice settings and the afternoon tea experience was lovely. Really enjoyed the cakes and scones. The chef also accommodated my friend who didn’t want egg sandwiches and cooked her something bespoke.

Only issue for us was dirty cup on the table with a very blatant pink lipstick stain on it. Don’t know how someone could have put it out without noticing. Considering I paid £50 I would have expected better.

The setting and ambience was lovely, lots of greenery and light gave it a calm, almost holiday-like, feeling.
We had pre-booked afternoon tea for 2.30 and the food came out after 45mins. The tea arrived at the same time. We felt this was quite a long time to wait.
The sandwiches were a big disappointment. Liked the concept of 4 finger sandwiches each with different fillings but this was executed badly. The bread did not feel or taste fresh and soft. It was stale. The fillings were very miserly and should have been a bit more generous. The scones were lovely as were the little desserts, especially the lemon posset. The tea was lovely (fresh mint) however there were hardly any staff milling around if you wanted to ask for anything.
Overall an enjoyable experience, let down by the sandwiches and the delay, which was a shame as both of these could so easily have been improved.

It was a nice restaurant located on the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency hotel. Lovely surroundings, very dim atmospheric cosy candlelight. I chose to sit next to a well lit display cabinet nearby so I had enough light to see what I was doing. There were about six other customers dotted around the restaurant and the staff weren't as attentive as I would have expected. I had concerns about that as I was stood at the reception desk waiting to be seated for a good long while. The staff were very nice mind you, there didn't seem to be a particular waiter assigned to me or to the table. Sometimes it would be a woman popping by, sometimes a man and the wait times weren't unreasonable, just longer than you'd expect considering the kind of restaurant it is. The food was excellent, they ad a small selection of menu items to choose from for starter and for main. Scallops, lobster bisque, fillet steak and that kind of thing. Very flavoursome. Dessert was also a very nice apple tart with caramel sauce, topped (albeit rather ungracefully) with a ball of vanilla ice cream and served with a single spoon to eat it with so there was a certain amount of chasing it around the plate with a spoon.
