Wonderful atmosphere from the get go. Food was fantastic and staff were very friendly. Python, grass cutter ants and chocolate covered locusts! I wish there was a chocolate covered scorpion but you can’t have everything. Would 100% recommend you go. Immediately

One of the most unusual restaurants in London, Archipelago is a colourful den of exotic and adventurous flavours. Sample everything from crocodile and kangaroo meat, all in a seductive setting of tribal masks, fertility statues and peacock feathers.
The Archipelago menu is a true taste of the exotic and experimental. Hot and spicy jerked alpaca is served with candy beetroot, while sweet chilli smoked python carpaccio comes with green tea and wasabi crackers for that Asian-influenced crunch. There are aromatic curries, creamy blue cheese parfaits, and more recognisable options like the honey-glazed Mexican pork belly.
Side dishes at Archipelago in Fitzrovia are just as exotic, with Colombian queen leaf eater ants available to much on. To drink, there is a diverse wine list of international vintages, and some signature cocktails with eclectic infusions.
A truly unique restaurant in London that is perfect for the adventurous diner, Archipelago is a 5-minute walk from Goodge Street Tube Station.

Small, cozy restaurant in Mayfair. We were very excited having had a look at the menu and from the theme itself. However, coctail tasted mix of syrup and water only, no alcohol (strawberry coctail), meat was seasoned so strong we could not taste the meat itself. We liked the whole idea of the restaurant/ambience but were not blown away by the food (or drink) and unlikely that we would be visiting again.
Service was friendly however.

Lovely quirky restaurant, just right if you want something different. It was my wife's birthday and the staff kindly added a chocolate plaque and a candle to her dessert.

Start to finish the whole evening was a great experience. From the password entry, menu scrolls, to the cricket salad and spicy Alpaca, and dessert menu hidden in a vintage French book. Will recommend to all.

This place is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious, especially the ostrich with blue potatoes, and zebra jerky. The desserts are amazing too. The decor is quirky but in a sophisticated manner, giving the place that "posh" feeling. Every single detail works and just creates that unique atmosphere, like scroll menus, bill arriving in a little wooden chest, dessert menu in an old book bookmarked on the page where the menu is....the staff is very nice and attentive. What was also a lovely touch is that the manager (or the owner) knew it was my partner's birthday, and his dessert arrived with a little candle and "happy birthday " written on a piece of chocolate - that's shows how much they care about their guests. It's our new favourite place in London, we'll definitely be back

A quaint little restaurant that offers a great dining experience but not all the dishes will fill you up.
If you're looking to taste something far more exotic than chicken (and even that's also on the menu), then this is the place for you. Zebra, crocodile, python and kangaroo to name a selection of the meats, although not much in the way of unusual vegetables. And of course, insects are also options (when not sold out). Just a note about the 'chocolate covered locusts'. They are tiny! I was expecting biblical plague-sized, and instead I got something that could be packed up inside a Malteaser!
To sum up: If you're an adventurous eater or you just want to gross out your friends, then give this place a try!
[Marked down one star because some of the portions were too small!]

Our experience in total was superb - whether we talk about the menu, decoration or the service. What we especially liked, was the relaxed ambience and noice-free surrounding (= no disco, etc background music). After a hectic day, silence can be gold. Price-wice: money for value.
