Incredible and quirky place. Excellent oof. Lovely waiters. Mysterious surroundings like in Ali Baba treasure cave. We tried all the most unusual dishes (chocolates scorpion!) and it was all delicious.

One of the most unusual restaurants in London, Archipelago is a colourful den of exotic and adventurous flavours. Sample everything from crocodile and kangaroo meat, all in a seductive setting of tribal masks, fertility statues and peacock feathers.

The Archipelago menu is a true taste of the exotic and experimental. Hot and spicy jerked alpaca is served with candy beetroot, while sweet chilli smoked python carpaccio comes with green tea and wasabi crackers for that Asian-influenced crunch. There are aromatic curries, creamy blue cheese parfaits, and more recognisable options like the honey-glazed Mexican pork belly.

Side dishes at Archipelago in Fitzrovia are just as exotic, with Colombian queen leaf eater ants available to much on. To drink, there is a diverse wine list of international vintages, and some signature cocktails with eclectic infusions.

A truly unique restaurant in London that is perfect for the adventurous diner, Archipelago is a 5-minute walk from Goodge Street Tube Station.

Lovely eclectic surroundings. A mysterious vibe and warm atmosphere. Friendly and efficient service and lovely touches (menus etc). Food fun and tasty and the alpaca was especially nice!

Evokes the living room of a quirky traveller who has been around the world and brought back all many of curious items. Each with a fascinating story. It's just the right side of cluttered, and the warm colours on the wall give a welcoming feel.

The staff were knowledgeable, and friendly. Gladly taking the time to explain each dish, and make recommendations.

The dishes themselves were great. Each one clearly well thought out and designed. Brilliant textures, fragrances and flavours. Well-balanced. I only wondered, however, if similar achievements could have been made without "exotic" meats as I felt the seasoning may have overwhelmed these unique ingredients at times. Highlights were the alpaca, crocodile, and python.

    Bravo, Archipelago.

The restaurant is very cosy and the decoration is amazing. The food was wonderful, we tried the anacodna, aligator and the ostrich and they were all cooked to perfection.

Fantastic experience! Magic atmosphere!!! The food is very interesting and everything is sooo delicious. But we were not so brave to try the scorpions, were you?

This was my first visit to Archipelago.
The online booking was easy and straightforward.
The staff was quick meeting and greeting arriving customers. There was plenty of advice and help offered with selecting the right dishes. I decided to substitute main with a couple of starters without any problems.
All dishes arrived well presented and the flavours were outstanding. It has been a while since I enjoyed a meal so much that I actually 'polished' all three courses.
The restaurant is quirky and the whole experience was totally enjoyable.
    I would highly recommend Archipelago.

I loved the entire experience. Only minor quibble - when I visited the restaurant 10 years ago the ‘LoveBug Salad’ was presented with complete bugs in one bowl with the salad. This time the ‘bug parts’ were incomplete and served in a side bowl. I’d like the option of the original serving style!
