One of the most unusual restaurants in London, Archipelago is a colourful den of exotic and adventurous flavours. Sample everything from crocodile and kangaroo meat, all in a seductive setting of tribal masks, fertility statues and peacock feathers.
The Archipelago menu is a true taste of the exotic and experimental. Hot and spicy jerked alpaca is served with candy beetroot, while sweet chilli smoked python carpaccio comes with green tea and wasabi crackers for that Asian-influenced crunch. There are aromatic curries, creamy blue cheese parfaits, and more recognisable options like the honey-glazed Mexican pork belly.
Side dishes at Archipelago in Fitzrovia are just as exotic, with Colombian queen leaf eater ants available to much on. To drink, there is a diverse wine list of international vintages, and some signature cocktails with eclectic infusions.
A truly unique restaurant in London that is perfect for the adventurous diner, Archipelago is a 5-minute walk from Goodge Street Tube Station.

It was an interesting experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional. Perfect with the quality... the only thing I would suggest is to increase the quantity on some. But otherwise a perfect experience.

Good and funny experience! I am not an adventurer but my husband had the python, the kangaroo and the scorpions! He loved it! I had some chicken which was good too.

The whole endeavor was fantastic. Everything from the weirdly exotic decor to the quality food to the friendly and knowdgeable service was exactly what we were looking for. The insects were all surprisingly tasty (the ants tasted like popcorn kernels with sunflower seeds). The kangaroo skewers were particularly delicious, and best of all it was all for a great price. I haven’t been to a place like Archipelago!

The restaurant was very welcoming and had a wonderful and inviting atmosphere. The little touches really made the evening amazing. Our favourite dishes had to be the python starter meal, the alpaca main meal, and both deserts we had- pharaoh's treasure and medieval hive.

I was so excited to visit this restaurant however I was left underwhelmed. The python carpaccio was cooked all the way through, ergo not carpaccio. The Zebra jerky was tasty but the portion was very small and you had to hunt for it within the salad. The Kangaroo skewers were spiced in a way that you lost the flavour of the meat which I feel defeats the object of selling Kangaroo, you want to be able taste the flavour of the meat- it’s why people go there! The Ostrich steak was wonderful because you could taste and appreciate the flavour. The house wine was lovely. The ambiance was awkward because we could hear staff bickering at the back “leave the guests alone” we heard at one point! They obviously didn’t realise they could very easily be heard and was rather embarrassing.

Really unusual menu! Beautifully presented and tasting food. Ate python, kangaroo and Alpaca (delicious!) and crickets (mmmm) and meal worms (ok). Imaginative restaurant in every way. Highly recommended for the adventurous! The staff weee attentive but not intrusive and happy to discuss the items on the menu.

Absolutely out of this world ,if your looking for something a bit different and you're willing to try something new go here . Amazing attentive staff beautiful surroundings and gorgeous food perfectly cooked. We had the crocodile wrapped in vine leaves which was so tasty with ostrich and kangaroo for mains they were beautiful. We thought we should try something a bit strange and have the scorpions which were tasty and the mealworms which were weird but actually quite nice
