Restaurant description

Set in an exclusive 4-star retreat, Arbor Restaurant serves refined British delicacies while staying true to eco principles and sustainable roots. Boasting 2 AA Rosettes and 2 Gold Awards from Dorset Tourism for Eating Out and Sustainability, the expansive gardens offer an ideal spot for al fresco dining.

Blending classic and contemporary cooking techniques, the Arbor menu makes use of daily deliveries of organic farm-assured produce and artisan specialities, as well as some of the UK’s finest fish and shellfish, fresh from trawlers. Serving uncomplicated, imaginative and honest food, the Arbor chefs mix the classic with the contemporary, with dishes like Lyme Bay scallops with creamed peas and bacon, or chorizo-stuffed chicken with red onion tart tatin.

Nestled in picturesque the Dorset countryside, Arbor is passionate about offering truly local flavours. The organic and biodynamic wine list restaurant has been extensively researched, with bottles painstakingly matched to the menu dishes.

Offering a chic setting that champions environmental responsibility, The Green House Hotel restaurant in Bournemouth offers a lush, natural hideaway. The Pavillion Theatre is 9 minutes’ walk away.

Disappointing. Service poor and food over priced. Was served luke warm and had to remind the waiter for the wine we ordered and they forgot. Wouldn't eat there again.

Lamb starter , steak main cooked to perfection. Staff fantastic. Question: why have I only just found this establishment? Made the evening perfect for my wife and I . Thank you.

A let down to be honest. I booked afternoon tea for my Husbands Birthday, even added a couple of glasses of fizz. On arrival was told we could not dine in the restaurant due to a staff meeting! I was very disappointed & did express my feelings. Was shown to the bar which was pleasant. The food was amazing, lovely sandwiches & beautiful cakes all credit to the chefs. The service was ok, however a member of staff came into the bar area & whilst we were trying to enjoy a peaceful tea the women was chat chat chat on her mobile, she looked part of the management which is no example, she was irritating to say the least, she then left after her call. A while later the meeting finished & in bounded the staff all crowding around the bar, chatting to their colleagues & generally had no regard for us & the fact we were trying to enjoy our afternoon, it totally spoils it for us & we decided to leave shortly after. I did express my disappointment on leaving to the lady taking my payment.

We had been to Arbor restaurant a couple times before so we knew what kind of service and quality of food to expect, and we were not disappointed. We arrived at the hotel/restaurant a bit earlier than our booking so we went to sit down at the bar where the staff were very attentive with our drinks, taking our coats and after a few minutes gave us the food menus so we could take our time deciding on our choices. The food was absolutely stunning, flavorsome, delicious and presented beautifully. We thought their lunch menu offer of 3 courses for £20 was very good value for money. Would recommend to anyone.
