Went for Mary Poppins afternoon tea. The food was abundant, however quality was lacking, particularly in the sandwiches. As one of the more expensive afternoon teas in London it doesn't compare with places like the Ritz but the view is, of course, spectacular.

Food was good and the location is fantastic . However your service was appalling . This is my 3rd visit to Aqua Shard . My 1st visit service was brilliant but i felt let down the last 2 times i was there . Especially , my latest visit . My table was booked for 8:45 on 8 of March. The waiter we had was so rude , rough and unprofessional . He spills water all over the table repeatedly without apologies . Never given us a drink menu so we had to have our starter with just water Untill we could get someone attention to bring us a drink menu . Every time we got given food . The food was given to the wrong person . After your waiter left we had to swap it all around . He never asked which dish is belonged to who , he just threw the food on the table without saying anything then left. Like he couldn’t be bothered to work or he absolutely hated what he was doing. The same thing repeated throughout the whole evening for all 3 courses. It was my sister’s birthday and was her 1st visit to the shard as she travelled from Japan. But we all hated that evening. And we all agreed not to come back to Aqua as we have much better experience in other restaurants up the Shard. I don’t normally giving out negative reviews. But i thought i should say something here since you have a big reputation in this business but have little to offer to diners when it comes to service and service is a big part of customers experience . I wish i knew his name because i think nobody deserves to get served by that man . His attitude and service ruined our eveningx We all was so upset and disappointed . I hope the management can look into it and train their staff better . Shouldn’t let someone who either have very little experience or don’t want to to the job to go out there and ruin people experience.

Food was average service could be a lot better. Waiter got our drinks wrong due to poor command of English. Nice atmosphere but I won’t be returning in a hurry

We waited an hour for our good then had to have main course, desert and coffee in an hour as we only had 2 hours for the table. Not good!

The Mary Poppins Afternoon Tea was a great experience overall. The day we visited was glorious so the view was incredible. Our service was provided by a young Greek gentlemen called Ilias and he was very attentive. The sandwiches were really tasty, the scones delicious, you will not find these in the supermarkets. We were not impressed however with the cakes. They looked really nice but we did not enjoy any of them. As it was my birthday, Ilias arranged two complimentary glasses of prosecco and a sweet birthday bite which was a really nice gesture.
