The lunch time 3 course meal and bellini deal was good value and we loved the view from our table by the window looking east. My chicken liver pâté, hake, and finally lemon. meringue tart with raspberry sorbet were all nice, and with 3 choices per course both of us found dishes we enjoyed. The bellini was lovely. Service was professional and at the same time friendly. We shall return.

Food was very nice, although I would like to have far larger portions of vegetables with the main course. For me, the main part should be the vegetables with fish or protein as the side part of the dish. As I am basically a vegetarian, a main course should consist of at least 400 grams of vegetables, whole grains, pulses, a few nuts with no real necessity for any other protein. Too many chefs seem to start with a huge piece of fish or meat and the vegetables become a garnish instead of the most important part of the meal. We enjoyed the views and the location. it was a beautiful day so the views were absolutely stunning and we really didn't feel the need to pay the extra to go up for the View from the Shard!! We thought that the wine list and cocktail list prices were absolutely outrageous - the price of a single glass of wine was more than a full bottle in most restaurants (£17!!), so we just stuck with the included cocktail and a jug of water. It does not encourage people to have a drink if you price them so ridiculously high!

The views of the restaurant are breathtaking. The food was nice too. However, the service was a bit slow between dishes.

Booked lunch for 12:30 and got a window table, which was great. Food was nice, if a bit miniscule, had the 'Isle of White heirloom tomato salad' to start, there were more words in the title than tomatoes on the plate but very nice. Then the Dingley Dell pork belly, again small but nice and finally a lemon meringue tart, where the pastry was so hard, I thought it may fly off the plate as I tried to cut it with my spoon, that was quite disappointing, plus a free Bellini. Table service was very attentive, if a bit too attentive at times and they weren't really very chatty or friendly, just efficient. Sounds like I am moaning but just observing, we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

There were four of us in our party. We all enjoyed the food, it was excellent, the only exception was the pastry on the lemon tart, which was difficult to cut and eat, the pastry was far to hard, we didn't make any comment on this because the rest was very good. We found the staff charming, we did have to ask for milk for the coffee three times, but the third time the maitre D more than sorted the problem out. We did find the prices of a bottle of wine expensive.

Evertything was good and they didn't rush us out even though they said we would only have limited time at the table when we made the reservation. However, letting us stay longer made our experience better and it made sense as there was lots of free tables around us.
