Very poor value for money, poor service, front of house poor, service slow, bordering on curt at times - location obviously carries it a long way

Excellent. The vegetarian risotto had a good flavour but using pearl barley made it very chewy and heavy and not pleasant. The same dish using arborio rice would have been a winner.

Fabulous 5* experience. As soon as you walk through the doors its luxury. Great meal and of course outstanding views. Staff wonderful and the loos, well very different (in an amazing way). My friend and I were lucky enough to be seated by the window, but you experience the views wherever you are seated. GO!

Very enjoyable meal and spectacular views. I had read reviews criticising the staff, but we couldn't fault them or the service provided. Service was excellent even down to the restaurant manager coming across to check that the menu was suitable for my husband who follows a diabetic diet. We had a lovely Spanish waiter who overheard that it was our anniversary and the chef decorated a plate with chocolate for us. We went for the lunch menu, which was very good. If I have any criticism about the food, it is that I would prefer a little less meat and more vegetables, but that is a personal preference and did not detract from the quality and presentation of the food provided. The chicken was mouthwateringly tender and my husband loved the lamb. The hot soufflé was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the cheese. As he does not eat desserts he finds it annoying that he often has to pay a supplement for cheese, but this was included in the lunch menu, which we thought was very good value.

Great xperience at Aqua Shard. Attentive staff, good food, great views. What's not to like? The only small gripe was to be kept waiting downstairs until 12 noon exactly for the restaurant opening time... But this was only a small thing. Highly recommended, especially with the lunch deal.
