Blending an understated, laidback vibe and cool contemporary chic, Apero in South Kensington is renowned for its signature cocktail mixes. A fine wine list is matched to the delicious natural flavours of the cuisine.

Stuffed courgette flowers was like a work of art on the plate and a taste sensation on the palate! Could barely focus on the dinner conversation as the food is mind blowing.

Wonderful. We had a quiet table in a nook could actually talk. We were there for breakfast. Food very good and big portions. Some of our party was late and the staff was very gracious. Definitely will go again when in London

This is a wonderful little restaurant tucked away in the basement of the Ampersand Hotel. Loved the quirky light fittings and relaxed environment. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, keen to tell us about the food and wine but not at all ‘in your face’. They clearly enjoyed us enjoying the food and were happy to tell us more about how things were prepared if asked.
The food was absolutely divine - all of the seafood tasted so fresh, flavours were delicate and well matched in all of the dishes. Wine was beautiful. Couldn’t fault anything about it. It was a pleasurable experience in every way.

The burrata starter was delightful, yet the cod was a bit too salty for me. Service was excellent. All in all, the experience is not bad. However, the standard for whether I will recommend a place to a friend is based on whether there’s a shining point to start the conversation.

When my wife comes to London this is one of the first restaurants on our list. A relaxing aperitif to start. We went "bread mad" for starters .. tasty foccaia and also a very good bruschetta with aubergine. Padron Peppers to accompany. Mains were Pork Rib and Lamb cutlets, the latter excellent. "I Muri" Primitivo to wash down. Service was friendly and efficient and there was a good flow of guests throughout our stay. We will be back again.

The food was nice, but they had problems to serve the meals together. One meal was wrong, two other meal were forgotten, so the together dining was not possible :-(
But one of the service guys , his name is Phil ( Barkeeper) , rescued our evening. He was very nice, attentive, funny and served us a free drink for all the worse.
Phil was the reason to go for a drink again in the Apero. Thank a lot Phil!
