This restaurant was such good value for the quality of food that I went twice. Food was some of best I’ve had in a non-michelin star restaurant. The only issue was service was a bit slow but the food made up for it.

Apero was perfect for a light meal before the Proms. We appreciated: welcoming staff, comfortable seats, wide selection of dishes, great service, delightfully tasty food well presented, good wine to accompany it.

This was an excellent meal from the new menu. We had gnocchi that was served with a lovely pesto sauce and mushrooms. It was really delicious. For dessert we had an apricot and blueberry pannacotta and a chocolate and hazelnut tart served with sorbet. Both were beautifully presented and at £6.00 each amazing value. The Portuguese waiter was both efficient and attentive without being intrusive. It was refreshing to have a restaurant with no music playing, so conversation was possible. Highly recommended.
