The chips were soft just like mashed potato, when asked if everything was ok we complained about the chips and asked for more crisp ones they were just like the original ones still soft and soggy

Having eaten at Annies before, we knew we were in for a good afternoon. We were shown to our table, and within 5 mins the drinks we ordered arrived. We were treating ourselves to Annies afternoon tea, which had just been named as the best afternoon tea in Manchester. The waiter came to tell us what type of finger sandwiches were on the menu that day, and as I don't like horseradish or mustard. He assured me that I could have plain Ham and plain beef. When it arrived on the three tier stand, the waitress told us that if we couldnt finish it, she would put the cakes into a white box to take home. She was quite correct, and came home carrying the said white box. Can't recommend Annies enough, it a lovely place, with lovely staff, good food and reasonable prices.

I had the corned beef hash cake for starter which was delicious. Then for my main I had the cheese and onion pie. This again was delicious and the chips that come with it are fantastic.
There were 4 of us dining in total and we each thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
The service was fantastic. Attentive but not intrusive.
