Food was really good, but could have done with a bit more selection (more like a premier inn breakfast)

an Expensive breakfast and Very cheap generic food. Bacon eggs sausages beans hash browns and children’s cereal was the choice. The pastry was barely identifiable or edible. The best thing about it was the coffee and that was at best average

Been coming and staying at Alton towers for over 15yrs so seen some changes. The staff here this year are excellent and I’m so please not to see the pizza and pasta only station it’s good to have the assortments. Few more options would be good like burgers hotdogs and cheese n crackers on the stations... also at breakfast there was no fried eggs or mushrooms or fresh tomatoes... apart from that was lovely

Average food quality, a bit of everything but not to the high standards or up to the Alton Towers standards

A mix of dishes. Most of then good. The egg fried rice I had was rock hard. And there was a distinct lack of desserts unless you wanted chocolate fountain.

We only had breakfast but having booked a time we then had to wait in line for a table anyway.

Large selection of food. Staff were polite and helpful. Expensive for a family of 4.

The food in Flambo Jambo's (Splash Landings hotel) was average at best & fell below our expectations. There was a reasonable choice at dinner but it consisted mostly of cheap to create offerings i.e pasta in various forms, curry & a not-very-good roast. The desserts looked nice but tasted mass produced and as though they were full of artificial nasties (which they no doubt were). Although the chocolate fountain looked great & the kids seemed happy about it, the chocolate was pretty yuk - and I'm not usually fussy about chocolate. The ice cream from the help yourself machine was not nice, not at all.

Breakfast was disappointing too. 1 bowl of apples & oranges as far as fresh fruit went. No prepared fruit or bananas etc. There were some fat free yogurts which were ok plus 1 option of no added sugar muesli but that was it for those wanting to be healthier. 2 baskets of danish pastries (only ever saw 1 variety) but the baskets were always almost empty anyway.

The cooked breakfast consisted of scrambled egg (no other egg options), bacon, sausage (which were very fatty), VERY watery baked beans - so watery in fact that there was always a queue due to people trying to drain the water off the spoon when serving themselves .....
Bread for the toast was cheap. No 'nice' bread options.
Cereal dispensers with 'kids cereal' in which we didn't use so can't comment.
Milk options were: have it or don't. They weren't labelled as skimmed, semi skimmed etc so assume all the same.

Coffee & other hot drinks were dispensed from a machine, no idea what brand but they tasted very middle of the road. There was always a queue. No fresh coffee available, no percolators etc.
If you wanted tea it was bag straight in a cup, no tea pots.
'Fresh orange juice' was actually orange squash from a machine and terrible.

I definitely wouldn't eat there again and couldn't recommend it.
