Wolf - Dieter Golze worked as a chef at various well-known restaurants, before he took over at the Alte Bannhaus in Miltenberg. The original building is one of the oldest buildings in Miltenberg. It also has a cosy vaulted basement dating from the 12th and 13th centuries with an open fireplace and seating for about 80 people. The menu offers regional specialities such as Odenwälder Bauernsalat (farmer's salad) and saddle of venison with currant sauce. There are also dishes with a Mediterranean touch such as stuffed leg of rabbit in olive sauce served with aubergines and polenta. The wine list is extensive and offers European, international and German (Franconian) wines. The Rittersaal (the Knights' Hall) is a historic vault which is a suitable venue for gatherings of 10 to 25 people. It can also be used for meetings and offers a full range of technical equipment.
