Hidden below the bustling Glasgow city centre, Alla Italia Ristorante Italiano offers a wide range of Mediterranean-style dishes from its seasonal menu. A hit with local critics, the Alla Italia menu fuses authentic flavours of the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Sourced locally and freshly prepared, the food reflects traditional home-cooking.
Cosy and low-lit, the brasserie provides an old-world setting and asserts a charming ambience. Located beneath the popular Alla Turca restaurant, Alla Italia enjoys a Mezze Bar where diners can choose from an extensive list of cocktails and spirits whilst listening to live music.
Evocative of its rustic interior, the food at Alla Italia Ristorante Italiano is understated but satiable. Choose from an assortment of mezes and pastas to hearty fish and meat dishes. Sample the Turkish tapas, rich roast pumpkin risotto and wash it all down with a glass of full-bodied Chilean cabernet sauvignon.
A 5-minute walk from Glasgow Charing Cross Rail Station, Alla Italia Ristorante Italiano lies at the heart of the city, making it ideal for pre-theatre dining.

Alla Italia is a beautiful restaurant, the mix of Turkish & Italian food on offer was great, we had a 2 course pre-theatre dinner & could select dishes from either menu. The food was too die for, service was fantastic too, the staff are all lovely & very attentive we will definitely be back for more!! SOON!!!!

We had a pre theatre meal which was very nice. Reasonably charged extensive menu of Turkish and Italian dishes. Definately recommend this restaurant very near to Kings theatre. Not of fan of service charge being added automatically I like to decide that for myself.

Loved the comfy leather booth and the service was excellent. We had the bruschetta and minestrone soup to start and both were very good. Our main was the chicken in creamy peppercorn sauce which was delicious, however the only disappointment was that the sides of chips we added were not hand cut as stated on the menu. Desserts and cocktails were great and we'll be back!

The food here was amazing. We both ordered the bruschetta Parma - delicious and the cracked black pepper chicken - couldn't fault it. The waiter was fabulous he was very attentive. Although he must have went on his break just as we finished our dinner and wine, due to this we were left sitting for about 30mins after our main (this was ok as we were full) but then time went on and we ran out of time for desert as we were going to a show in the near by kings. This was a little disappointing as we had such an amazing experience until this point. On paying the bill when the young girl eventually brought it to us, we were charged for 3 courses but actually only ate 2. We went up to the bar to pay this, buy that time the attentive male who had been serving us earlier was back. We explained and he wouldn't appologise enough, sorted the bill and when doing so he was very polite. Thanks again! Overall, a fabulous little restaurant and I will be back soon! X

Been here before for their Turkish menu so decided to try the Italian and was not disappointed. Good choice from the menu and the Creme Brulee with berries was to die for!
