Having been to this bar before and had a very enjoyable lunch, we were looking forward to visiting again. Unfortunately, it was a complete farce. Did we order at the bar or would we be served at the table (no staff to ask either way and no instructions)? We tried the bar which worked and were told there was a 30 minute wait for food. The 30 minutes turned into 45 minutes and no-one seemed to be getting any food orders. When the food arrived, my dish was wrong but I didn’t have time to send it back and wait another 45 minutes. No cutlery was given, salt and pepper was nowhere to be seen, nor were any staff. The food was actually ok but the lack of staff and anyone knowing what was going on made the experience very poor indeed. We won’t be going back.

We had a good pre-theatre meal here using their special mate or date menu. It was good value-there were also plenty of vegan/vegetarian options on a separate but still reasonable venue. The staff were very helpful and gave us samples of non-alcoholic drinks which we were thinking off having. I was impressed by this as they were busy. We had good desserts as well. I enjoyed the house Malbec. People were keen to get our table as we left--we had booked which I think would be wise if you want to be sure of a seat. It is not fine dining or a quiet venue-nor does it pretend to be but for a night out with friends or pre-theatre it was just what was needed.

Very poor service - ignored for close to an hour. Went to be as drinks order seemed like it would never be taken, ordering food was a challenge. One dish for our group was wrong. Waitress abrupt and disinterested. Angrily challenged us about why we had not paid the service charge! Food was adequate but not impressive. Was very overcrowded.

Unfortunatly did not stay to eat as others would not move from our clearly reserved table also no mention that children weren't welcome had our 11 yr old with us told reluctantly if did stay we had to leave by 8. Left went up road to Henry bar excellent service food atmosphere highly recommend.
