The restaurant was preparing for a major facelift so the full menu was not available. What we did have and the service were both excellent.

Boasting a showering of local awards, Alderley Edge Hotel is home to two of Cheshire’s finest eateries. With an impressive 3 AA Rosettes, The Alderley Restaurant offers refined fine dining, whilst the Brasserie serves up great British dishes with a modern twist.

Sophisticated flavour combinations are offered in the sublime 7-course tasting menu, with masterful creations including pigeon with sloe gin gel and walnuts, or whisky cured smoked salmon with potted brown shrimp. Retro recipes are served up in the brasserie, with its striking black, white and red décor offering a backdrop to its informal ambience.

An inventive dessert menu at Alderley Edge Hotel includes a smooth melting ginger fondant with rhubarb & custard ice cream, or iced caramel parfait with tangerine textures. An extensive wine list is expertly compiled, and showcases some of the most luxurious vintages on the market today.

An offshoot of the more formal Alderley Edge Restaurant, The Brasserie features bold red benches, eclectic prints and a sweeping stool-lined bar. Expect comfort food favourites, like succulent steaks or chicken chasseur. The well-stocked bar showcases a plethora of world wines, as well as cooling modern cocktail mixes.

From the elegant dining room at Alderley Edge restaurant, guests can look out onto panoramic views of the Cheshire plain. Alderley Edge Rail Station is a 2-minute drive away.

Excellent dining experience. The ambience in the Brasserie is very relaxing. The staff were attentive without being too conspicuous. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced on the Lunch menu. We'll be back!

Disappointed. There was no wine list, the only option was house wines listed off by the waiter. One starter was not available then after ordering and waiting 10 minutes for starters we were told there was no sweet corn for one of the soup one of our party had ordered another 5 minutes and we were told chef wasn't happy with the chicken parfait another of us had ordered so could we please choose something else. The main courses arrived as ordered but the batter on the scampi and monkfish was very breads and thick overshadowing the seafood. In fairness they did not charge for two of the starters given the issues but overall it was not a good experience. Before we started we asked to move tables to avoid a strong air conditioning down draft and moved to a table with a TV showing Gaelic football overhead!

Food and service were very good. Limited choice of wines and no price list. Ambience affected by few other diners.

The whole evening from arrival to leaving was FABULOUS. Food excellent all sooo good can't pick a favourite. Staff lovely, attentive and very courteous. Only problem it was raining when we left so we got wet!!!! however it didn't dampen the evening at all.
Will certainly come back if in the area again.

We booked as the hotel was listed as a 3AA Rosette awarded restaurant. We were very disappointed and left without even receiving our main course. My father in law ordered King Prawn & cray fish satarter. When it arrive, the prawns were not King prawns but frizen small prawns and there were tiny, very few fragments of crayfish served with buttered bread cut into quaters very 1970's prawn cicktail! My broccoli, pine nut & blue cheese starter was ok if we were in a gastropub eg Hungry Horse. This was a poor representation of fine dinning to say the least. When we asked where were the ingredients as advertised,, the waiter put his finger in the dish and said "there". We offered to pay for the food which we had eaten (my starter) and our drinks and left cancelling our main course. We did not want to end up paying for expensive food which wAs merely " pub grub" . Sorry guys

Exceptional. Our experience was made all the better as a result of the service received from our waitress Vanda. She is the jewel in your crown and is clearly a great asset to your establishment. Nothing was to much trouble and she was extremely professional and courteous.
