One of the finest restaurants we have ever eaten in: incredibly professional service, beautiful settings, and breathtaking food. No man has treated vegetables with such loving care. From the giveaways to the chocolates, to the candies, nothing is an afterthought. With such perfection, I welcome to be able to report one error: I asked for pink for my pork and it came cooked the old fashioned way. Since my wife likes it this way we switched and so I did not have to return it.

I had high hopes for my visit. The welcome was warm & friendly from the whole team. My husband & I stuck to the lunch deal at £65 per head for 3 courses with two glasses of wine each plus tea/coffee.

We were delighted by the little extras along the way (fresh bread with the lightest whipped cheese ever, a fish amuse bouche, lots of bowls of home made sweets). The meal itself was good. I think my husband enjoyed it more than I did as my starter of sea bream ceviche was somewhat disappointing. The fish was lost among the peas. My husband had a far better experience with his chicken starter. Our mains were delightful & desserts were exceptional!

Although the service was very good, I have been to a 2 star restaurant where the service was much more attentive to detail, bearing in mind that Alain Ducasse is 3 Michelin starred.

The atmosphere had a nice buzz. If you are looking for a classy place to impress, this is the one. Just maybe lower your expectations so that they are not sky high like mine were...
