Had a really great time. The hotel has a separate alcove set up for the themed tea. The decoration is beautiful. It wasn't too busy so we got to spend as long as we wanted there. There was a dedicated waiter who was lovely. Lots of photo opportunities and props left lying around. I loved the poison apple potion display! Not a fan of the desert but very very nice scones! 5 stars. Fully recommend.

I and 2 other family members had Afternoon Tea at The Waldorf as we were celebrating a special birthday. I had telephoned the Waldorf to inform them of the birthday once I had made the initial booking and they were quite accommodating, by having a special mini cake with a candle and the harpist playing 'happy birthday'. On the afternoon we attended, we were one of the first to attend the dining area as they had just begun service. Due to it being the 22nd December, I thought it would be much more busier that it actually turned out to be which was nice. The service by our waiter was good and when we informed him that one of us had a nut allergy and was a non meat eater, something I should have informed them of prior to us turning up, they were very accommodating in making us new sandwich which were nut and meat free. The quality of the cakes and scones were good and portions were very adequate. The selection of teas were especially nice and we were pretty stuffed by the time we left the restaurant. A good time was had by all.

Not as good as I expected even tho it was good value with a Living Social voucher. The cakes on the festive tea were very disappointing & the cream & jam given wasn’t enough for one person lest known 3 people. Our Prosecco was poured at the beginning & immediately followed by a pot of tea. I therefore had to send the tea back as it went cold whilst drinking the Prosecco. We also had to continually ask for our Prosecco to be topped up as nothing was ever offered. The manager was poor & never offered us the amuse bouche type starter which were given by a young waitress as she noticed we didn’t have it. She finished her shift & after that we were never asked if everything was ok & always had to wait to get help. Very, very disappointing afternoon.

Went to the themed ABBA high tea, the servers where amazing and met our eveyneed. The vegetarian selection was also very good and enjoyed it very much. And one of the guest was disabled and it was all on one level However the themed tea was in the reception area and there was construction outside meaning it was very noisy when the construction workers where working and we could smell their cigarette when they where on their break. Similarly being by the front reception there was sometimes a cold breeze when the front door was open

I booked this afternoon tea as a treat for my grand-daughter as she loves Mamma Mia. It was a bit disappointing. The Mamma Mia bit consisted of a display, a TV screen showing clips from the stage production and (I think) the soundtrack from the original film. It was very quiet and we could hardly hear it, especially over the piano being played further up. We were the only people in that section and although the waitress visited occasionally, she never seemed to be around when we needed anything. There were no spoons for the cream, jam or mousses. I ordered coffee which came in a very thick cup with an impossible handle which was such a contrast from the rest of the pretty, dainty china. The food took a while to come, which wasn't a problem, and was OK. Not the best afternoon tea I've ever had, but OK.

I treated a friend of mine for her first Afternoon tea in London and it did not disappoint. The selection of sweet and savoury dishes were delicious and fresh as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The service was immaculate and friendly. It turned a rainy afternoon into a great one ??. A fantastic experience

Ladies and gents' bathrooms were excellent facilities, and the harpist an enjoyable addition to create an elegant dining experience. The waiting staff were very helpful, they even put my bunch of flowers in water for the duration of the afternoon tea, and indeed all the hotel staff we encountered were pleasant and charming. Neither of us has stayed in the hotel, but the experience put us in mind of staying in the hotel on a future occasion.
