The food and tea was absolutely delicious, the sandwiches and cakes were So tasty and the different choice of preserves for the scones were amazing but the service was a little slow, it took them ten minutes for them to come over at all, I couldn’t wait to have a cup of tea but they didn’t bring our tea until half way through eating our afternoon tea. I would probably go again.

The tea room seemed to be short staffed on the day of our visit and we had to wait a lot longer to be served. When eventually our sandwiches arrived, our order for tea hadn't been taken. I then had to ask for the scones after waiting for some time once our cakes had been finished. We've been twice before and this hasn't been an issue. The food was very good and staff were very pleasant and had noticed our wait without me mentioning it hence money was knocked off the bill.

My husband I went for the Evening Tea on Saturday. The staff were lovely and attentive but not overly, which is exactly how it should be. Food was was very nice and the Ox cheek croquette was delicious .The only downside was the table of women adjacent to us who were loud and foul mouthed, this I know is not a reflection on the service and staff you are not responsible for the people who book with you. Once they left the atmosphere greatly improved.

It was very nice but nothing that special. Four tiny sandwiches. Cakes were nothing special. Not enough cream for the scones. Overpriced for what you got. £36 for a bottle of prosecco also very overpriced.

Afternoon tea was very good, lots of thought had gone into the vegetarian options and the staff took care of our every need, blend of breakfast tea was exceptional, it had a caramel undertone, I think it was a midland hotel blend. Only criticism was the chef had gone off when we requested some more vegetarian sandwiches which let down our experience quite considerably as we felt this was unprofessional and unacceptable. There should have been somebody in the kitchen to cater for the entire afternoon tea sitting as we felt really let down by this.
