Delicious. Exquisite little cakes, the coronation chicken sandwiches are the best, lovely spinach and goats cheese quiche, nice touch with the sweet and savoury scones

The staff were extremely attentive and the prosecco did flow . Unhappy that requests on booking form were not adhered to; but were addressed efficiently at the table. Great setting although think seats could be placed so that both diners could see the view at tables for two. Scones the best part of the afternoon tea - delicious.

I visited this restaurant for afternoon tea with unlimited bubbles with a friend.
We arrived a few minutes before the Library Lounge opened so went to the bar next door to wait. The surroundings are beautiful with amazing views of Big Ben!
Once in the Library lounge the service was perfect from one member of staff. The other female seeing to us was really quite rude and not particularly welcoming.
We had such a lovely afternoon tea and they do not let your glass get half empty without refilling it. The ‘bubbles’ is a Cava so don’t expect prosecco! The food was lovely and you can request extra of anything you fancy.
We were having such a lovely time until one of the staff members dropped the bill on our table, tidied up our plates with food on and cups with drinks in and said rather abruptly ‘you must go as we have a private function.’ I asked what time the function started to see if I had time to visit the restroom before leave and her response was ‘now.’ This was incredibly rude and quite honestly un-called for.
We quickly packed away our things to leave but I was unable to find my umbrella. I looked around the table we were sat at and it was not there, so we checked in the bar next door, described the umbrella to them but they had not seen it. So we returned to the Library lounge and asked the member of staff if they had seen it, again describing it as being floral and having a pink handle. She immediately said they had not seen it but had one I could use. She returned to the back room and returned WITH MY UMBERELLA!!! I said yes that is my umbrella, and she replied ‘Are you sure?!’ I feel very let down by this happening and find it hard to understand a reason as to why. We felt it was very strange indeed and sadly, felt as though staff could not be trusted.
I would not recommend this restaurant purely for the way this situation made us feel. We most certainly would not want to stay in the hotel leaving valuables in the rooms.

Very good service. Food varied and very nice.
Only downside was there was no box to take what was not eaten home to enjoy there!

From the moment we entered the building you feel special. Sat at table overlooking the Thames. Service was great with everything being explained to you about what they were serving you. My glass was never empty!

The food was fantastic, a great variety and all tasted amazing. The attentive and welcoming waiters asked if we needed more food which is incredible as we we're full with out the extras! My glass of sparkling wine was constantly filled and had a much tea as I wanted. The views over the thames are a beautiful backdrop. I took my Mum for her 60th birthday and they sang happy birthday and brought a dessert out for her. A lovely day and great way to celebrate an occasion like a birthday or anniversary.

The visit was great! Staff very tentative. One lady was quite sharp and less friendly but she was soon forget.
Food was excellent, slightly different to what was stated on menu.

This was my 4th visit here. So as you can imagine, we love it...it's a great place for a celebratory afternoon tea. It was my daughter's birthday and my son and his fiancé get married in two weeks so I could think of no better place to celebrate. The setting is wonderful, great views. The staff are superb, very welcoming and obliging and then there is the food! It was again absolutely delicious and I highly recommend the quiche and savoury scones. Can't wait to return! Oops, nearly forgot, the 'limitless prosecco' really is just that, the glass was never allowed to get empty!
