The afternoon tea exceeded our expectations! The tea was of wonderful quality, the selection of food was delectable and it was lovely having a drink menu available as well. The room was formal and well-appointed yet felt warm and inviting. The service was second to none! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and thought it was well worth the price.

We went to The Goring for an afternoon tea. It was an excellent experience.

The experience was very memorable. The food was displayed beautifully and tasted amazing. The butternut squash after the strawberries and cream was delicious.
The choice of tea was not extensive but all of our choices were lovely.
The room was set out with plenty of space between tables yet the room was quite full with people enjoying their cream teas.
The only draw back was the lack of wash room facilities causing lengthy waiting time which eats into your 2 hour time slot.

This was a 18th birthday treat for myself and my daughter, booked by my sister-in-law Anne Gormley Dawes.
On arrival we were greeted by 2 staff who both wished my daughter Happy Birthday.
Shown to our table, the service was exemplary, and very friendly to make you feel at home. Menu explained and the teas and food all described to us. Champagne offered and topped up if required.
Food was divine, more offered if required. The one cake we were not very keen on was the pistachio cake-texture was very soggy and lacked flavour.Very attentive staff, but not overpowering.
Then, at end, a slice of cake with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate was brought out-completely surprised us.
We were not rushed at all and in fact stayed at our table till 6.30pm when we left to go to see Hamilton.
Overall an amazing Afternoon Tea-thank you.

First visit to the Goring, arrived extremely early, not a problem, staff very welcoming, showed me to my seat and provided a newspaper to read while I waited for my guest. Very cosy, tables setup very well, wasn’t overcrowded with neighbouring tables and not in other guest eye view, felt private and special. Afternoon tea selection was varied and plentiful.

It was the first trip to London this time. Although I was a little worried about the afternoon tea alone, it was very nice and catefully responded and spoke to me and it was a really wonderful time. Also, if I have a chance to visit London, I would definitely like to go there alone even with my family. Thank you very much.

Impeccable service. Everything was fantastic and brought out in a timely fashion. I realize it is a traditional tea, personally, I would have prefer a few more savory items.

Fanatics experience to have high tea in goring hotel. The staff here are very nice. Before we got the table, ask us to take off our coat and belongings, keep it in their storage area. Then, ask us whether go to wash room before high tea. That is so warm. Everything here is very tasty include sandwiches (4 types), and we love macaron a lot. It comes with tea. It is a perfect match!
