An indulgent treat at the Boundary Mill Store in Colne, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy an extensive range of soups and sandwiches, fine pastries and handmade cakes. Afternoon Tea at Mrs B's crafts a quintessentially British experience, where hand-crafted cakes and pastries are paired with loose leaf teas and glasses of bubbles.
All of the classic British flavours one would expect feature on the Afternoon Tea at Mrs B's menu, starting off with delicate finger sandwiches filled with treats like Scottish smoked salmon with lemon butter and fresh chives, and rare roast beef with horseradish. Homemade cakes and pastries follow, including scones with jam and clotted cream, and mini fruit tarts and vanilla cream slices.
A selection of premium loose leaf teas are served at Afternoon Tea at Mrs B's in Lancashire, including Earl Grey and Darjeeling. Diners can also add in glasses of prosecco and champagne for that added touch of luxury.
Filled with classically elegant style, Mrs B's is a perfect way to unwind after hitting the local shops. Colne Rail Station is just a 3-minute walk away.

Lovely afternoon tea with an abundance of scones & cakes ! in a beautiful restaurant! Only fault we could find was that the napkins needed ironing! Would have looked so much nicer when you first sit down at the table & everything is laid out beautifully if the napkins on the side plate were nicely pressed instead of looking like they’d just come out of the linen basket & someone didn’t have time to iron them !

Our recent visit to Mrs B's Team Room was like stepping back into a more polite and less rushed era. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere convivial. The Afternoon Tea was as you would expect presented on a three tier stand. The sandwiches and cakes were very good. The choice of beverage was also excellent. What sets this place apart from other tea rooms is the feeling of dining in a first class London hotel in the early part of the 20th Century (despite being part of the Boundary Mill Complex). The cutlery and dinner sets are top quality and the staff dress as would befit the era it is emulating. The cost is not exactly cheap but the overall package is worth paying and the smile it put on my wife and mother-in-law's faces made it worth every penny.

The atmosphere was very calm an relaxng. Afternoon tea was delicious and I particuly liked the crockery. Comfortable seating. Staff looked and behaved very professionally. Overall a very enjoyable birthday experience which my 89 year old mother thoroughly enjoyed.

Had the basic afternoon tea (no prosecco/ champagne which was delicious but a bit expensive at £40 for 2 people. The lovely crisp, white tablecloths which used to give the place an air of luxury were sadly missing on this occasion. abut still a very pleasant experience.

It was an excellent afternoon tea for my mother in laws birthday. The lovely surroundings made it a really special occasion and the service was excellent.

We had a very lovely afternoon tea in gorgeous surroundings, served beautifully by delightful waiting staff.
My only comment is that I would have liked to have had the choice of having one of the wonderful cakes on offer at the counter, instead of just the mini cakes on offer with the afternoon tea.

It was a lovely experience much better than we had expected, the food was very good with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes. The tearoom itself was very comfortable, airy and plenty of space between the tables. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be looking forward to going again.

Service on the day excellent, the afternoon tea however is not really good value for money the sandwiches are very tiny with very little filling and the sweet selection is quite boring especially if you do not like creme patisserie, the staff did provide an alternative selection but it was totally uninspiring. The surroundings are lovely but over all I preferred the way they used to serve afternoon tea, sorry not change for the better
