We had a lovely time here yesterday. We were seated in the library which was very "oldey worldy". The staff were pleasant & friendly & couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely return. The afternoon tea was delicious.

Enjoyed our afternoon tea which aI organised for my sister . Our waitress was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much. I loved that it was child friendly and very accommodating. Would have loved individual portions on a tray as opposed to all three portions on one tray. Other than that i would return. Thankyou

The building environment, ambience, and design quality was fantastic. The area where we had the tea was intimate, but beautifully presented. It had the WoW factor. When we were presented with the afternoon tea, we were not disappointed - it was again beautifully presented and looked amazing. Very inviting, and with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes. It would be hard to pick out any individual element as they were all superb.
We spent a lovely two hours over the tea, However, if I was being ultra critical I would say that the service was poor, and not the standard I would have expected. Nobody came to ask about refreshers, or how we were doing for some considerable time; and it seemed to me that the staff when they did appear were too interested in setting up for the evening dinners. This was a shame, but both my wife and I felt this independently after when we discussed the experience. Also, because we had been bumped from the Greta St John Street Hotel we were offered an additional glass of champagne, which we had to ask for. All in all a wonderful experience both in the place which is beautiful, and with the food which was superb - a shame the service wasn't up to the same standard!

Had a very enjoyable afternoon. Two of our number are vegetarian and had a vegetarian tea. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and particularly the scones, which were served with a generous portion of whipped cream each. My only criticism was of the tea itself. I don't know if the waitress was new but she brought us a six-cup pot of tea with only one teabag. To be fair, she was very apologetic and quickly brought us a fresh pot. Apart from that her service and attention was excellent.

Relaxed afternoon tea. Good sized sandwiches and lovely cakes and scones. Plenty of tea/ coffee although more types of tea would have been better. Good service and we stayed there all afternoon without being ushered out.

Very tasty and plentiful selection of sandwiches + delicious and interesting cakes. Plus, of course, scones with jan and clotted cream. Yum!!
