Restaurant description

Styled to resemble a French patisserie, B Bakery Covent Garden offers a glorious selection of baked goods. Swathes of pewter leather and climbing plants bring a touch of magic to this quaint central London tea room.

Served in mismatched, vintage bone china, afternoon teas at B Bakery are the café’s most prized offering. Fresh finger sandwiches and scones are served alongside a range of beautiful, hand-crafted pastries and cakes. Liquid accompaniments include fine fragrant teas from Benjamin & Barton and freshly squeezed orange juice, or flutes of chilled champagne.

Savoury goods with a continental twist are offered at B Bakery in London. Enjoy an eclectic mix of flavoured quiches, freshly-fired pizza with salad, or a classic croque monsieur. Head to the colourful cake counter for a range of macarons, cookies, meringues and cakes, all perfectly complemented by loose leaf teas or rich coffees.

With goods baked daily by a fleet of French pastry chefs, B Bakery in Covent Garden offers some of the most artful cakes and desserts in London. Covent Garden & Leicester Square tube stations are both 5 minutes’ walk away.

Loved the whole afternoon tea experience, I've been here in the past and they never fail to disappoint. Very accommodating to all your allergy needs, they gave us a substitutes for ours. They only thing I would say is that before serving the afternoon tea, they should check that you are ok with all the sandwich options because not everybody likes every sandwich that is served, for example, I do not like mint and cucumber and these were both wasted. I would rather swap it than waste food. Other afternoon teas I've been to have given you options on the sandwiches so that you don't waste food. I liked the option of having hot chocolate as we both don't drink tea or coffee (not very english I know). Staff were also very polite and helpful when needed. I would recommend this, although very expensive for cakes and sandwiches and can get cheaper deals at hotels across London. I did think the scone was rather small for what you paid for and I remember that there used to be a 5th dessert, a macaron too, not sure what happened to that? Cakes and pastries are wonderful though!

We visited for afternoon tea and can honestly say it was the best afternoon tea we've ever eaten. Every level of the cake stand was delicious and left us totally stuffed!

Great service. The seats were already available and reserved for us when we got there. Since we already said we would get the afternoon tea set, everything was prepared and ready. We really enjoyed it, but could not finish all the food. The waiter packed all the food we did not get to eat.

The seating area in the main restaurant was fine with us but you sit very close to other people. I highly appreciated the staff adjusting the menu for me because I am allergic to nuts and making sure I knew what I could eat. They were very friendly through the entire two hours that we stayed and the food and drinks were delicious. I'll definitely come back - once the cupcake is finished ;-)

The experience was great with lovely decor and the smell of fresh flowers . The food was great and the service was exceptional. The only complaint was that we had only one scone and was not offered more .

B Bakery serves the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Everything is just perfect. The flavours are quite incredible and the china crockery is divine. Our waiter was absolutely lovely. B Bakery also catered for one of our party who needs gluten free and one who needs lactose free. Literally cannot fault this wonderful establishment. Thank you. We will be back!

We enjoyed the selection of food and tea. Very cute tea shop. A little disappointed that the teapots were not available for sale when they had a price on the display ones.
