I quite like the settings of the restaurant with comfy seats, the lightings on the ceiling improved the mood of the night. My favorite dishes would be the starters and I find them appetizing. I would say it was wonderful overall.

We had a meal at the French to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary. The food and the service was sublime, although the desserts were not to my particular taste my wife absolutely loved them. I was particularly grateful and impressed that the kitchen were able to adapt a tasting menu to suit my pregnant wife. My only gripe was that our table for two was right next to the door leading through to the kitchen. It was very distracting and annoying to be sat facing the door as waiters were pacing in and out of it. Also, we were sat down for at least 30 minutes before our first course was served - I would have liked an amuse bouche or some other kind of appetiser soon after we were seated. The effect is that you end up sitting there, and in my case being hypnotised by the swinging door! These were the only blights on what was otherwise an excellent evening of indulgence and gastronomy.

Excellent as always still enjoy the ox dish and the sasparella sweet. Enjoyed how the bread was served on 2 separate occassions rather than all at once disappointed with the main course was not cooked . Regards the desserts I would prefer one less and include the cheese within the 10 course.
