Beautiful. Stunning decor, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was wonderful too. We had well-recommended wine and a mouth-watering cocktail. We will definitely be going again in the next 6 months.

The overall dining experience was excellent, however in my opinion there are some areas of improvement needed for this restaurant to be awarded a Michelin star. 1) The dining room is very elegant with lovely crystal chandeliers and original decorative moldings, i would have expected this to be translated to the table, sadly it wasn't, the bear wood table and heavy earthen wear crockery was not right for this restaurant or style of food. A crisp clean table cloth, delicate fine china and some crystal glasses would have been much better. 2) The over all service was good, but didn't understand why were were sat next to a occupied table when there were plenty of other tables, we felt we couldn't talk openly without disturbing the adjacent table. I was also disappointed that all the food and drinks were not brought to the table at the same time, there were plenty of staff stood around that could have assisted. 3) The starter and main courses were excellent , full of flavour and a joy to eat 10/10. The plum dessert unfortunately was too tart and the plums were raw and hard. I would have expected these plums to have been soften to release some of the natural sugars. We did pass on our comments to the waiter who explained there were suppose to be tart.......i doubt that very much.

Superb service and excellent food. I had booked the three course lunch with a glass of champagne for £32 - what value! We are a little tired now of tasting menus and certainly cannot cope with accompanying wine flights, so this was a great option for lunchtime. Would certainly look for this offer again.

I thought the service was excellent and the wine waiter was Fab. overall i would say it is very good, There is something missing for me with the atmosphere, it was a little flat. I also found the chairs uncomfortable. 9 out of 10 for me

Outstanding. The staff were excellent and clearly enthusiastic about the taster menu. They were welcoming and friendly. All too often waiting staff can make diners in an upscale restaurant feel intimidated but you got the feeling these guys really liked working there and that they wanted you to enjoy your evening. The taster menu is magnificent. As it was an anniversary, we plumped for the accompanying wines and were definitely not disappointed. I will not spoil the surprises for anyone like myself who prefers to go in "blind" ( I didn't even read the menu until after we'd finished) but it was a joy. The food gets you talking and the wine compliments it perfectly. The Aumbry should move over. There a new sherriff in town!
