The description of each wine to accompany the taster menu given by the sommelier was excellent.

Loved the selection of dishes in the 6 course menu. There was a real variety of tastes, techniques used and contrast of textures. However the portions were minuscule and that slightly spoiled the experience for which my son and his girlfriend paid £150. The cherry sauce with the duck was not sour just salty but that was my only criticism of the food itself. There were plenty of "wow" and "Ooh' moments and service was efficient and speedy. An extra slice of the salt aged duck here and a little more of the 'Tater 'ash' would have made for a better proportioned meal. " light dinner" or not. We have eaten recently in 2 Michelin starred restaurants and there the portion sizes were better planned. Similarly the 2 glasses of Prosecco I had, cost £28 - I would have liked advance notice of that. The suggestion by our very pleasant waitress that we might want to extend our meal with a cheese platter came across, disappointingly, not as assistance with food information, but rather as an attempt to increase the money spent by us. This I didn't like, because we are both very capable of asking for a cheese course, if we had wanted it.

Really disappointed with food and service.

Amazing meal, we had the lunch time tasting menu which did not disappoint at all, we also indulged in the pairing wines which were fabulous. Service was spot on, attentive and engaging not aloof in anyway taking time to explain the dishes and answer questions. Hard to pick a favourite course as they were all unique, beautifully presented and delicious, the butter that accompanied the tater ash was amazing.

The food is good and what one would expect given the Good Food Guide recommendation and the prices. However I found the decor too dark with inadequate light for reading - somewhat claustrophobic in fact. I had to point out the big hole in the serviette, and also the first glass of white wine was served unchilled. To be fair no charge was made for it.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The ‘snacks’ were so tasty. The cod starter that was poached in almond milk & served on a bed of buttered leeks was incredible. As was the treacle pudding with bergamot jam. That pudding left me wanting more!! Adams famous golden empire dessert also didn’t disappoint.
The staff were fabulous! So so friendly & very attentive.

Loved the restaurant and while we had the only opted for the 3 course offer, wasn’t disappointed by what was served. The service was pleasant and attentive and the surrounding decor etc was quite classy. Only word of caution was the pricey wines on offer, some of which you certainly required deep pockets!

I loved the food. The staff were lovely. I wasn’t keen on the music. I didn’t think it matched with the restaurant theme!

We had the 9 course taster menu. We were very happy with the whole experience. My dietary and allergy requirements were met in full. The food was all first class. Staff were friendly and helpful. The ambience is just right. My wife mentioned that she would have preferred a few more hot dishes .
