Each and every one of the nine courses we received was a gastronomic pleasure.

The attention to detail in the presentation of each course.

The short explanation to how the dish was constructed and its ingredients.

All brought together what was a real memorable dining experience.

All the staff working together makes Adam Reid at The French the place to go for the next level in fine dining.

Absolutley amazing, love the new decor - feels more relaxed and warm - feels like we can be more animated (felt a bit reserved with the last decor) the service - absolutley spot on, felt really looked after, felt like it was a special occasion but without it feeling stuffy, Food where do I start - loved them all fave the Lobster - hen and teh strawberry - one thing i noticed there wasn't as many meat dishes - not a real issue for me personally

Quite simply some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and certainly the best fine dining restaurant in Manchester. We had the 9 course menu which lasted the entire evening. It was perfectly balanced, so I left feeling full, but not bloated. I simply can’t pick a favourite. At least seven of the courses were phenomenal. The hen course and rhubarb desert course were the only two that didn’t blow me away, but were still lovely.

The work and effort that goes into making something so simple taste so good is nothing short of genius. Well done Adam and team.

It’s worth doing the wine pairings as well. Very well matched.

If I’m being hypercritical, the service just needs a little tweaking. We had to ask for one of our wine pairings, some of the waiting staff actually looked stressed at points (I don’t know why) and when we found some shell in the lobster course the waitress just sort of awkwardly laughed it off, but overall a fantastic experience.

We were at the Man Behind The Curtain in Leeds a couple weeks ago and I simply don’t understand how that has a Michelin star and this place doesn’t. Come on Michelin, pull your finger out. The food here is significantly better.

    Can’t wait to go back.

The restaurant decor was lovely unfortunately the food and service was far from expectations. The meal consisted of mussels, what appeared to be a chicken thigh and gravely and Finnished with ice cream and jelly. I’m past exsperiance of restaurants of this standard the quality of food product service is significantly higher and the description of the food when service is a lot more in depth. As for the golden empire presentation is fantastic but to eat was very poor
