A contemporary Victoria destination for European cuisine, About Thyme in London displays strong Spanish influence in a continental menu. The cellar is packed with a diverse collection of world wines, and the open-fronted diner’s fiery tones reflect the About Thyme chefs’ passion.
The varied About Thyme menu offers beetroot and tequila cured gravadlax, baked snails with pernod and brandy, and Galician octopus. Wild mushroom risotto, braised lamb shank and fillet of sea bass are among more traditional choices.
Italian amaretto ice cream, almond tart and espresso and Baileys crème brûlée are among the indulgent desserts at About Thyme Pimlico. Light meal choices available at lunchtime and early evenings include stuffed piquillo peppers, sautéed tiger prawns and Serrano ham with bruschetta.
A huge selection of Spanish wines leads an eclectic list, also featuring the best from Chile and Australia’s vineyards. About Thyme restaurant is a 4-minute walk from London Victoria Train Station, on Wilton Road.

An exceptional restaurant that always lives up to expectations. High quality service and all dishes we ordered were excellent. The tapas dishes and the pasta with crab and chilli stand out but all dishes were of the highest quality.

It is always a good experience to dine at this restaurant. The food is always good and good quality and the service is nice and friendly. The price/quality ratio is good. The only thing I would point out, is to have a little bit more different menu from time to time.

A late lunch for two, 6 tapas dishes chosen amounting to exactly the right quantity (can't remember the details). Very tasty mixture of seafood and veggies, varied and well cooked, served in excellent time (but not TOO soon!). Had room for a dessert too which, again, was the right quantity and size of portion. Only drawback was the group of five loud males at table across the way. Sorry guys, your voices and laughter were projected far too successfully and at an unnecessary volume throughout the time.

Food was delicious but it was also pretty expensive. £20 for a vegetable risotto which was yummy
