Serving fresh, authentic Italian cuisine since 1978, A Little Taste of Italy Ristorante Teatro brings a slice of continental life to Glasgow city centre. Just across from the King’s Theatre, the restaurant is the ideal place for a pre-theatre meal, and hosts live music at the weekend.

On the Ristorante Teatro menu, freshness and Italian authenticity are both treated importantly. Ingredients are locally sourced, with key items imported directly from Italy, giving diners the best of both worlds. From antipasto platters perfect for sharing, there is also a selection of fresh pasta dishes, fresh Scottish beef, and vegetarian options. If there is a desired dish that does not feature on the menu, the chefs will do their best to prepare it. All items on the menu – from bread to desserts – are made freshly in the restaurant each day.

As well as a selection of Italian and international wines, Ristorante Teatro Glasgow also mixes up a range of bold cocktails, and serves beers and fine spirits.

A Little Taste of Italy Ristorante Teatro is just 3 minutes’ walk from Charing Cross (Glasgow) Rail Station, and a 7-minute walk from Buchanan Street Station.

Lovely restaurant. Food excellent and staff extremely pleasant.

Very disappointing, billed as 'Sannino' but turns out to have no connections to the iconic 80's restaurant of that name.

Food was very average, they could not even do bruschetta without basil when my wife requested it. Service was patchy, the ladies were fine but the gentleman was surly and almost rude.

I feel I was conned by them using the name of Sannino when it is a completely different restaurant.

Lovely pre theatre before the show. Pasta with sausage was lovely. Quick service with friendly staff. Only down side was a bit tight for space at the table and wine prices were expensive

We arrived earlier than our reservation, but we didn't get a drinks order taken for quite a while as only one member of staff was in. It's quite a tight fit too and my mum had to move a couple of times to let the waitress in to the table beside us. Can't complain about the food or the service, very quick! Although they did try to charge me for tea and coffee that we never had!

Tiny table for 2 - not really enough room even for for the plates - however the food was lovely and service excellent so would come again.

Really cute and charismatic place! I read reviews that it’s quite small and you are squished in. This is true but it totally suits the place! The food and wine is yummy and served by a fab waitress with perfect Glasgow charm. There was also a brilliant guitarist at the bottom of the stairs! I will certainly visit again and totally recommend for a pre-theatre show!

Food nice, service good but way too small for me. Up close and personal with strangers is not for me.
Toilets need some care and attention too.
