Serving fresh, authentic Italian cuisine since 1978, A Little Taste of Italy Ristorante Teatro brings a slice of continental life to Glasgow city centre. Just across from the King’s Theatre, the restaurant is the ideal place for a pre-theatre meal, and hosts live music at the weekend.

On the Ristorante Teatro menu, freshness and Italian authenticity are both treated importantly. Ingredients are locally sourced, with key items imported directly from Italy, giving diners the best of both worlds. From antipasto platters perfect for sharing, there is also a selection of fresh pasta dishes, fresh Scottish beef, and vegetarian options. If there is a desired dish that does not feature on the menu, the chefs will do their best to prepare it. All items on the menu – from bread to desserts – are made freshly in the restaurant each day.

As well as a selection of Italian and international wines, Ristorante Teatro Glasgow also mixes up a range of bold cocktails, and serves beers and fine spirits.

A Little Taste of Italy Ristorante Teatro is just 3 minutes’ walk from Charing Cross (Glasgow) Rail Station, and a 7-minute walk from Buchanan Street Station.

A cozy little downstairs restaurant which is always busy and even with all tables filled the staff are at all times pleasant and ensuring you are enjoying the food and never too busy for a bit of banter. Food is lovely and portion sizes are good, tried a few dishes now and haven’t had a bad word to say about any of them! Only complaint is that it is a little small and can be cramped when at full capacity but well worth a visit.

Got last minute phone call from this restaurant to advise that they had over booked the restaurant and could not offer us a table. This is completely unacceptable. Our booking was made over a week in advance and to get a couple of hours notice that they didn’t have a table is simply not good enough.

Nice pre-theatre location. Good typical Italian food. We both had pasta dishes which were nice and service was good.

Ideal location for Pre-Theatre meal; food was good & reasonably priced however, the venue has a narrow, descending staircase into the restaurant, which itself, is extremely small with tables set very close together & some chairs positioned inappropriately, resulting in restricted access & awkward situations for customers & also for staff moving around.
