Busy, wee restaurant. Good is fab - wine is delish and the service is first class. My favourite pre-theatre go to.

Serving fresh, authentic Italian cuisine since 1978, A Little Taste of Italy Ristorante Teatro brings a slice of continental life to Glasgow city centre. Just across from the King’s Theatre, the restaurant is the ideal place for a pre-theatre meal, and hosts live music at the weekend.

On the Ristorante Teatro menu, freshness and Italian authenticity are both treated importantly. Ingredients are locally sourced, with key items imported directly from Italy, giving diners the best of both worlds. From antipasto platters perfect for sharing, there is also a selection of fresh pasta dishes, fresh Scottish beef, and vegetarian options. If there is a desired dish that does not feature on the menu, the chefs will do their best to prepare it. All items on the menu – from bread to desserts – are made freshly in the restaurant each day.

As well as a selection of Italian and international wines, Ristorante Teatro Glasgow also mixes up a range of bold cocktails, and serves beers and fine spirits.

A Little Taste of Italy Ristorante Teatro is just 3 minutes’ walk from Charing Cross (Glasgow) Rail Station, and a 7-minute walk from Buchanan Street Station.

My dining companions were disappointed with the chicken arrabiata and the sponge in the tiramisu was very dry. The tables are too close together, everyone was packed in like sardines but felt particularly sorry for those seated along the wall as they were subjected to customers squeezing past to access the toilets. I noticed that every single person accessing the toilets, including me, felt obliged to apologise to the customers they were so obviously disturbing. There was a constant flow of traffic going in and out of the toilets, it must have been dreadful, particularly for the young couple seated literally inches from the toilet door. How they even managed to hold conversation beats me, everyone was constantly apologising to them. So... squeezing people in like sardines to earn as much as possible defeats the purpose because I, for this reason alone, will not be back and neither will my friends. The food was average but that can happen on a particular night and then be brilliant on another night so the chef is forgiven but not the restaurant owner whose greed has compromised customer comfort and possibly safety as well.

Had a lovely pre theatre dinner , restaurant was very busy but staff were brilliant. Food was good we all had something different & each dish enjoyed. They had a man playing a guitar which sounded great but a little bit obstructing as he was sat on staircase ? Great location for the theatre & out in plenty of time for our show .

Had an excellent pre theatre dinner here with 4 friends prior to going to a show at the Kings Theatre. It is a small restaurant with a great buzz about it. The menu offers a varied choice and the staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. Will definitely return if going to another show at the Kings.

Although the food was ok, I felt there was too many people packed into a relatively small space. Getting in and out of your table was difficult, having to ask people to move to allow you past etc.
We originally were put at the table at the gents toilet, which would have meant every time someone wanted to use the toilet one of us would have needed to get up to let them past, plus there was a rather large hole in the seat, not what you want to see or sit on. When we asked for another table to be fair they moved us into a corner table albeit a rather tight corner. We felt it would have been a nicer experience if there were less people.

Disappointed as we received a call to tell us the restaurant had overbooked and we wld need to go to sister nearby. Sister restaurant was very busy and staff clearly under pressure. Food was good but service was ‘sharp’ due to the restaurant being bursting at the seams.

Perfect location for lunch before heading to the King's for a matinee. Although tables are very tightly packed in the service was good and the food delicious.
